This match I have to say was quite some bs. They say Mayweather landed more punches when all he did was run around the whole game. In my opinion, Pacquiao should've won. Thoughts?

I really wish Pac had won. That would have made me happier.

First three rounds were a snooze fest. Through the rest of the fight, it was all Pac attacking Mayweather. I think Mayweather only went on one offensive attack throughout the entire fight. All he did was play defensively and throw out some counterattacks.
Pac should have won. He fought better imo.

Yet you guys comment. Door is right there you know?

Even before the fight, you could already tell who would win. This whole thing went in favor to May. I'm not going with the "May bought the match", there's a lot more to that. Mayweather isn't a dumb when it comes to choosing opponents. He's a predator (not like that), animals never go for a strong and healthy prey, they go for weak, old, young prey. Pacquiao isn't in his prime, he's aging and not the unstoppable offense he was a few years ago. There goes my other reasoning. Pacquiao is a offensive boxer, he likes to punch whatever moves. Mayweather, on the other hand, is a very defensive boxer relying on more of tactics rather than power. The whole time he was running around, he was careful when he punched to make sure it would land and not miss. This would tire a boxer like Pacquiao who strikes and punches, with Mayweather not having a single hand on him. There was no way Pacquiao was going to KO Mayweather, like everyone said would be the only way he could beat Mayweather. Mayweather would win be decision. And what about the amount of bs Mayweather set? The fight had to be in May, if Pacquiao won, there would be a rematch, if May won, no rematch. It had to be in the arena he chose, everything was made by him.

A big thing I saw on Reddit is this, which makes a lot of sense, and I'll find the scorecard soon enough.

Mayweather's what's known as a technical boxer, meaning that, in a way, he exploits boxing's rule set rather than physically dominating his opponent. When you're only concerned with the numbers on the scorecards, there's no need to burn yourself out after four rounds. He outlasts and chips away at them, luring them into launching clumsy volleys of blows that lower their hit percentages. All the while he patiently dances about, throwing fewer punches but connecting more often.

This intrinsically defensive approach has also granted him a much longer career than many of his contemporaries.

Mayweather is strategic, and everyone is making fun of him for hugging and running some, he threw more punches (not more power punches, still landed more) and made 180 million dollars. I agree wholeheartedly, Mayweather is a terrible guy and I like Pacquiao way, WAY more, but he won fair and square. Most people who watched that match probably had never seen a true boxing match, and based everything they knew and judged on Rocky. It doesn't work like that.

Exactly! I'm actually done with everyone making fun of him, people who don't watch boxing regularly expect this big fight with both fighters wailing on each other.
