[Guide] How to Catch a Hacker - WarZ Edition

Hello! My name is Serine1002 and I have worked pretty hard to make this thread. I have come up with easy and effective tips to catch a hacker and bring them to justice! As we know, hacking is not permitted on McBrawl's servers, so hackers must be caught, and banned as fast as we can catch em. Despite our rules, hackers dwell within our servers all the time! I am here to help teach you how to make sure a hacker you have found gets banned.

Why catch a hacker?

If you find a hacker on our servers, justing letting him slide and not doing anything about isn't very helpful. It's our job to clean up the server, so if you find a hacker, try to collect proof. And at the end of every month, the players who have submitted the most reports receive awards! Including medals, coupons, and honour!

What you will need

First, lets start with some things you will need. In order the catch a hacker, there are some things required.

• You will need screen recording software.

You can't really prove someone is hacking, without a video, can you.. So having a recording system at the ready is the main requirement.

• Familiarize yourself with the reporting system.

Get to know how McBrawl's report page works. Your personal reports will be saved under "personal reports" in the report forum.

• Somewhere to upload your videos.

Whats the point of taking a video if you can't show it to other people? I suggest you make a YouTube channel and upload your videos there.

Now that your fully equipped lets jump into how to identify hackers and how to catch them. I will provide the information you will need, like what to look for, where to look, and how to prove it. I have filtered out the specific hacks that are most commonly seen on MC-WarZ.

Killaura Hackers

Where to look- These pesky players are most commonly found in lower zones [2-3] where sword fights are common. Try to get to a town like the sand towns, the airport, or the gas station, and be prepared to record, because these towns are full of them.

What to look for- You can tell if someone is using killaura if they are continuously hitting you without flaw, in suspicious ways, or are breaking Minecrafts laws of physics, like hitting at impossible reaches, or hitting you when your behind/beside them.

How to catch them- If your sure you've found a killaura hacker, flip on your screen recording system and simply record them in the act. Try moving past them or into them, if they are using killaura, this should literally be impossible. Once you've collected enough proof, begin to upload your videos to YouTube. Once its done, submit a report with the McBrawl report forum, and a Super-Moderator or Administrator should look at it soon!

Anti-KnockBack Hackers

Where to look- Anti-KnockBack is present all around WarZ, there is no particular place to go look for Anti-Knockback hackers. Zones [1-6]

What to look for- If someone is using Anti-KnocBack, as the name says, they should be taking zero knock back from regular attacks and gun shots. And they should not be taking recoil from guns. Ex: Sprint jumping while firing an automatic. Anti-Knockback SHOULD be pretty obvious and easy to prove.

How to catch them- First, I suggest stocking up on Empty Cans. Try to have a good amount in your inventory. Also bring a fast firing automatic. (Like the P90) Once you've begun recording and the hacker is present, spam your automatics and throw the empty cans at them, and that should prove it. Or record them in the action of not taking recoil. Ex: Sprint Jumping while firing automatic. That should also be enough as proof. Once you've collected enough proof, begin to upload your videos to YouTube. Once its done, submit a report with the McBrawl report forum, and a Super-Moderator or Administrator should look at it soon!

Blink Hackers - Teleportation

Where to look- Try to to go a town with multiple level buildings, preferably higher zones. I would say zones [4-6] Places like nether, industrial, and snow are where it's MOST effective, so thats my suggestion.

What to look for- You can't tell someone is using blink just by looking at there behaviours like usual. Blink rarely happens and when it does, it's often very annoying. randomly teleporting on WarZ isn't doable. TPing
is very different from blink. So catching them is hard.

How to catch them- Once you know someone is using blink (you've witnessed it happen), try to provoke them, then get to the rooftop of a building with one ladder entrance. They can't risk going up the ladder because they will die, so once your on the top, start recording, and they SHOULD blink up there. or just record regular fights with them, it may spontaneously happen.. (Them blinking away from danger, behind enemies, etc) Once you've collected enough proof, begin to upload your videos to YouTube. Once its done, submit a report with the McBrawl report forum, and a Super-Moderator or Administrator should look at it soon!

That's why I made this thread. AndI also included to how CATCH them. I find many more hackers then I catch.
