    People can use a botnet, there does not have to be multiple persons, but i don't think some sweaty kid thinking he's cool because he can boot someone offline over a 3+ game has acess to a botnet.

    Back on mcpvp we had issues like this also :/ The only way we were able to get people banned for ddos threats was to take an imgame screenshot then go into the game files and copy pasta the part of the server chat with time stamps and if they both matched up they would send it to the higher ups to deal with it. Its not the most efficient system but it worked.

    An easy way to avoid DDOS attacks is to never give your Skype to people you don't know.

    I have never been DDOSed, but I have been threatened on a different server
    There were 2 people, and they were PREMIUM ranks. They were people who bought $69 rank. They got banned luckily as I told an admin to look at the logs

    LOL. I am sure that DOS, is when you type /ping or something and knock a lan server off, E.G. your own IP 192.168....

    But a DDOS is series of packets hitting a single server causing it to flood and inevitably crash.
