Thanks for being so rude about the whole situation! I'm going to address the only 2 points you have:

1) "we won't be able to shout" - yes you will

2) "ranks are better" - no they're not, it's fairer if everyone has the same opportunities. If you were a new player would you prefer a server which restricted its features potentially for months, or one that allowed you to WorldEdit from the moment you logged in?

Everyone's resistant to change and I appreciate that, but this is a good thing that's happening! Enjoy it!

 

I don't see any major reason why the old creative will be better than the new one. Are people just angry because they'll lose their plot(s)? I bet there's some way they could bring those into McBuild

McBuild

Pros:
1. Everyone has world edit
2. Much bigger map
3. Since its your own map, you don't have ugly plots next to you
4. Easier for people to see your creations
5. More Privacy if you want it
6. McBuild has shout too? idk what you're rambling about
7. VoxelSniper - Only moderators can use it, but you can probably ask them to do it for you
8. You can make maps for Gamemodes and very easily show it on the forums (No need for people to download the map to see it in person)

Cons:
1. More lag due to everyone having access to World Edit (its not bad surprisingly)
2. The maps could overwhelm some people because of the large size
3. Griefing is much easier because of World Edit (Golden Rule: Don't perm strangers.)

 

Yes, but what about the people who have worked so hard for their applications before this merging thing is going to happen? It's unfair for them since they had to spend so much time and effort in their apps for months to get world edit and now new people who join will get world edit without even doing any work. You wouldn't understand even if I explained.

 

Well what DO they want? I feel like it isn't because the current one has better features, but more of I don't wanna lose my builder rank

 

Give me three legitimate reasons why the current one should stay. Don't list crappy reasons like "All my friends r there" or " I don't want to lose my plot" also "new players don't deserve world edit, because I worked hard for a rank"

 

Honestly, I understand how annoying it is. Back on MCPVP, 2 players were promoted to ModPlus in order to make maps - nobody was consulted, they had the power to do anything that we could, and it was really unfair. But, there was a reason for it: they were making maps that would benefit MCPVP, so we accepted it.

The parallel with Brawl Creative is that this merge is honestly the best thing for Brawl at the moment, and if Chap didn't believe it it wouldn't have happened. All we ask from you is to accept this. You're not losing any features except a coloured word before your name and the limit on WorldEdit, and you're gaining many more awesome ones in the process.

People talk a lot about fairness but that's what we're achieving by doing this. I'm sorry if you believe that it's not a good thing for Brawl, but please, give it a week and see how you feel afterwards.

 

I'm gonna try understanding people from MCPvP for a moment.

You all just want your creative server back, and I understand. Losing your favourite server is sad and that's why you want the merging to happen. Think about it our way too. Please. It's not even just losing our ranks, it's like we're losing the whole creative server and it's getting replaced. I'm not gonna lie, I do like the ideas of the MCBuild, but I just really like Brawl's creative server the way it is. If you think about it, all of us are wanting the same thing; not losing our favourite server (but just in a different way).

 

Try this.

 

I understand it holds sentimental value, but what have you got to lose? What does Brawl Creative offer that MinecraftBuild doesn't?

This is a legitimate question; if there's something about the server you really want to keep I'll do my best to see if we can have it included in build.

When you strip it down to the basics, what is a creative server? It's a place to build awesome stuff while having a community around to show your creations to. Mcbuild is superior in almost every way (building wise), allowing more creativity and making large creations. Creative servers shouldn't be based around the fact that it is has a simpler UI.

2. Not everyone has WE that prevents lag

A legitimate concern. It's surprisingly not that bad, especially if you split the playerbase into a few servers to reduce the lag. Reducing the WE maximum block would lessen the stress on the servers even more

3. because we love the server the way it is and we don't want anyone to change it

Not really a legit reason, there are plenty of plot servers to play on. It seems like your just clinging on because you're used to it, not because it's better
