Another Way to Report & Hangout - Slack

    With encouragement from the MCPVP community and moderators, we will be having another place where you can report players, request help from the staff team, and just discuss with other Brawl members.

    Slack is a platform where you can discuss with others in chat channels and direct messages. You may do so through your web browser or you may download the Slack client. The client is very similar to Skype, but even more lightweight. The great thing about Slack is that it allows Brawlers to get together and chat about the servers and any other (appropriate) subjects, while still being able to get in instant contact with the staff team.

    Slack is completely free to use and in the future, we are working on things like logging all reports made, which is information we can use when picking moderators.

    You can join our Slack group by filling out a simple form here: https://www.brawl.com/slack.
    We will be constantly checking for new submissions and inviting everyone.

    The upside of using Slack vs Skype is that it is very light weight, can be used in your browser, and other people cannot access your IP address.

    We hope to see you on Slack!
    Also, shoutout to @BlueGuyARed who has been a great help in setting up our Brawl Slack.

    I think you should also add that its smarter to make a separate e-mail specifically for this slack, as the e-mail you sign up in will be visible. That's fine, as long as you don't use your main e-mail, though.

    If you start using Slack often, there's a free app on IOS (probably android too) to talk on the go.

    I definitely recommend getting the app, whether it's on desktop or mobile. I've found it's much more convenient than using a browser.

    I really encourage everyone to join. The HRC was a great tool back on McPvP for reporting hackers and just having casual conversation with people.

    Yes, it's very effective for hacker reports if a staff member is online. Simply post the report, and if a staff member is online then they'll get on as soon as possible, which is a great "on the spot" ban system.

    Slack also integrates with dropbox which allows us to easily receive and share files.
