Good meme thread deleted earlier XD IronRaven is good man!

When he said "I sent him", it was actually me - I wrote this thread originally and posted it. It was deleted and he reposted it (I didn't tell a bunch of people to repost - imthatguy and I were discussing brawl and he reposted it), without making any changes.

 

It's good to hear you're more careful, but three already? They do have a point

 

Sure, go ahead and rant on staff members, but it's obvious you're judging that staff member based on one action. Even now, you're assuming that I'm trying to deny his right to rant. If you actually understood my post, you would've realized that I meant that I find it intolerable (in my eyes = in my opinion) some of you are treating the staff like crap.

Here, I would like to point out the faults in your counterargument.

• You're taking the part in my argument, and using it in an incorrect way. I state, "Threads and comments like these are the cancer of Brawl." What I meant is that these negative comments and threads ruin the outlook of the community.
• You assume I'm attempting to deny his right to rant. Read the top paragraph for my response to this.

If you're going to come to assumptions on everything, then I suggest you click the ignore button on my profile, because I'm getting damn close to "ignoring" you. I've already had to tell another person the same thing.

You're using the term in such a vague way, I do not understand what you mean. At least I'm putting reason into my argument, along with some of the ranters, unlike you who is spewing out a one row sentence that doesn't make much sense.

You really think I want mod after being on this forum since 2013? There are several people who've told me to apply. Have I made one application yet? No. Being a mod is just work, work, and more work. Another reason I haven't applied? I have the common sense to know I will get denied for not fully meeting the requirements. Sorry if I didn't know you like to jump to conclusions and assume that I argue for the staff in order to become mod.

I will not be continuing to argument further as doing so is pretty much pointless. You aren't going to change your opinion, and I won't change mine. Leave it at this.

C'mon dude, there's really no point in continuing this flame war. It's getting out of hand as is. At least Nine had the decency to try to stop this argument from going on further. Might I suggest you try to act a bit smarter (not saying you're actually dumb) instead of continuing an argument with a stranger over the internet?

 

Did you know? You don't have to be here at all. Community won't get any better with flames and fires from people like you. Ironic because you were once a "mod" for McPvp who happens to come on, make joke applications and spread **** all over the forums. If our moderators were suckups as you said, many would have demoted / resigned but do we get any? Rarely nowadays. Hell, at least our moderators are dedicated to their job compared to you on the other hand who obsesses with chicken fetishes in the Build server. Does anyone care about your thoughts? Of course not so either leave or stay here and make yourself a flagrant example of an Mcpvp moderator.

I already explained this to Geothermal on skype:
At the time of Raven's reply we just had to deal with 3 flame threads on the forums, all hating on staff for falsely banning players. Under these circumstances Geothermal's message just looked like he was also bashing at staff and Raven was in a bad mood already.
It is also quite rude to send a staff member a guide telling basic information about hacks, clearly implying he believes we have no clue what hacks look like.

 

I was under the impression that Lord_Roke had already explained it. (Guess it was just Skype)
At the time he sent the 'guide to catching hackers', I had 2 false bans, and we had multiple threads on the forums flaming staff. He felt the need to explain every hack as if I had no idea what I'm doing when in reality I have hundreds of proper bans spanning a few months.

2 False bans later and it looks less like he was trying to be rude and more like 'Hey we don't want problems, I can help'

 

That's going to be hard considering his forums ban.

 

You put your thoughts in a really well put way and wise manner and I respect you for that. I'm not going to choose a side but you should know that Raven is a admin and that job isn't so easy as it seems. There are a bunch of updates and bugs its not even funny. Raven should be cut some slack but also he should probably learn from his mistakes which I'm sure he will. I don't see a reason to make a big thread about so you can show he is bad in front of the whole community. You could have just PM'ed chickenputty a reason with some evidence and he could have handled it from there.

Also many McPvP players are calling specific Brawl players "tryhards". I don't want to appear rude but look at this phrase it appears that you are saying that we are trying to hard to be cool or good at the game? I don't think that is bad in anyway, it is just trying to shape up your reputation so I don't understand why you guys have to use it as an insult causing even more flame.

Please don't post threads like these and instead PM a high staff member.

 

Tryhard = Someone who tries too hard/sucks up to get mod.

 

Hey, this thread was originally made by geothermal. I'm assuming he decided to post it on the forums as in mcpvp, most things were discussed on the forums, not necessarily in pms. Either ways, the original thread was deleted without any warning or message. Geothermal did actually pm the thread to chickenputty, but a third party person copied the msg and put it on here as a new thread. This was dealt with like 2 weeks ago.

The try hard thing a really irritating thing some players do on mcpvp. Originally meant as someone who was sucking up for mod, now it's just used for someone who has a different opinion and used as a taunt.

 

This thread is pointless. Unless you guys have something new and meaningful to post, I don't want to see this type of thread again.
