    I've heard recently that just 1 ex-McPvP staff told admins that HG teams were unpopular and un-organized, which is why HG teams aren't returning to Brawl. However, this is untrue - they were not unpopular at all, and in the short span of them being out there was around 30 matches. Being un-organized is a matter of opinion, and listening to just 1 opinion is never a good idea.

    Whether what I've heard is true or not, I still think that HG teams should return to Brawl. I've seen countless complaints from people who often were involved in HG teams - whether they be team owners/representatives, refs, people who play in a lot of HG matches or just HG regulars in general.

    If you like or dislike HG matches, that is again a matter of opinion - but regardless of that, do you want them to return?

    HG matches were organised mostly by the community. The main refs, @DreamOnPvP (who helped make HG teams a thing) and @Miskey were not staff on McPvP and, as far as I remember, never were. They were played on a server that already existed and if any match might've interfered with any other event taking place on that server, they would happen at a different date.

    Point is - whether you do or don't like HG matches, other people did. Staff didn't need to spend much time organising them as community members were doing an excellent job doing it. It didn't need an extra server as it can be done on servers that will exist soon due to CTF teams. They were popular, and people were fine with how they were organised.

    The poll is aimed at people who aren't staff. HG teams are something for the community, ran by the community. The poll is to see what the community thinks of HG teams. If any staff has a problem with HG teams, post below. at your own risk

    Also, please read the post before responding. If you don't think they should come back, explain why. Please don't reply with some sarcastic response which adds nothing to the discussion.

    I never was involved at all, and I probably wasn't going to join a team but It seemed like people had a lot of fun. I've never seen a complaint about it being unorganized so it should come back

    It was to me lots of fun. Watching back over some of the team matches that were recorded seems like some of the most intense stuff we've done next to the quarter quell.

    I don't understand the whole "unorganized" statement. They were always handled well.

    Teams were never unorganized, whoever said that they were is probably trying to get back at the community for some odd reason.

    Give us more information about your HG teams thing and why you want it back. You mostly talk about the HG team community and that the staff didn't organize them etc.

    I only got to play 2 HG team matches but it was a lot of fun and I don't see a point in not having it.

    2 teams faced each other in a Hardcore Games server. Each team selected 2 kits to be disabled for the game. For the most part, the game would run as a normal game- gather materials, get soup, gear up for feast. The 2 teams fight to the death and once all the players on 1 team dies, the oppenent team wins the match.

    I hope you realize that McPvP did not have to spend a single cent on HG Teams. They had a stream server, they allowed us to use that. Also we would need 1 SERVER and it could be much much less data intensive compared to your other servers.

    Well not really. Just dedicate 1-2 of the current HG servers to it and you'll be good.

    The point is, HG teams were a lot of fun, and I know a lot of people enjoyed them. As one of the main ones who helped bring it to life, I can say that the community supported it, to the point where Staff finally allowed us to make it official.

    Even though I didn't help as much after it was started, I know that there was always a large amount of discussion about it in skype, and would've just kept growing if MCPVP wasn't shut down.

    The fact is:

    - People enjoyed them.

    - Staff barely had to help with it - it was completely run by the community

    - It'd be easy to put in place. Just dedicate one of the existing HG servers to it, give a couple community members perms on only that server, and we'd do the rest.

    Please consider this, as I and others don't want to see this die after months of trying to convince the MCPVP staff to implement it.

    Teams were a highlight of HG. I would also like to point out with mild amusement that the current vote is 17 for teams and 0 against teams.

    chickenputty has already confirmed there's going to be "2 or so" tournament servers for CTF, so why not use them for HG matches as well as CTF matches?

    Chances at what?

    @DreamOnPvP made a brilliant post summing up HG teams on the forums, hopefully he can link it here because I can't remember the name of it.

    I want it back because most of the community want it back - I think the results of the poll speak for itself that its popular in McPvP (18 votes total, 18 voted yes at the time I'm writing this). I mostly talk about the HG team community and that the staff didn't organise them because that's all there is to it. I also said that they were popular, and I didn't touch into that point much because I was confident the results of the poll would give more than enough evidence.

    I played every McPvP HG teams matches and just a warning, they start out extremely laggy. As time went on and servers got used to the mass amount of players, it became as if lag never existed in the game. The games lasted extremely long though, because there were about 250 players per game.

    You have the wrong thing - at most there were 20 player games. This is where official teams play organised matches together, and its rarely more than an 8v8 and I don't think its ever been more than a 10v10.
