    In Hardcore games, after a certain time has been met the server will automatically kill the players, without warning, with the least amount of kills leaving the person who has the most kills to win. I find this extremely annoying and a boring way to decide the winner. In McPvP there used to be called an amazing thing known as pit. What pit would do is once the game has gone on for 60 minutes I believe, the server would teleport everyone into a... pit. Here players wouldn't be able to break blocks and were forced to kill each other. Due to the lack of the ability to break blocks(so people can't hide in the walls), and due to the fact that there was little running space, this was quite an efficient way of ending games in a short amount of time. Some may argue that with brawls solution to end games without pit it ends the game in a shorter amount of time and guarantees a steady game availability schedule. If too many players playing hardcore games is a problem, brawl can simply force the pit to start at a shorter time so that it kills off players quicker. In addition that, brawl could add more Mc-Hg servers, and increase the player limit. Please vote on if you believe that pit should come back, or if brawl should keep their uninteresting slaughter of players.

    I agree, I feel the pit is more open to towering strategies. An enclosing force field simply ruins trappers/towers who lie on the outskirts and are forced to move. At least you can rebuild your tower/trap in the pit most of the time.

    Yeah, the pit was really useful to kill other people left in the game.

    Yeah. Although players use the pit as a counter to traps or tower which is kinda unfair. Also the pit favors the better geared/pvpers but at ANY point they could be killed by strategy. The game shouldn't end just automatically. Maybe we could when the pit spawns because 60 minutes is a LONG time.

    The pit was removed because players didn't want to risk a loss facing a tower or a trap so it would usually go like this:

    Feast winner: "Come down"
    Trapper/tower: "No"
    Feast winner: "Ok im waiting till the pit"

    and then feast winner would then tab out and watch something until the pit opened and they would easily kill the tower or the trapper.
    This ruined the game for a certain party of players so i started working towards an alternative and getting it removed, but id left mcpvp and i dont know why they made it what it is currently. I wouldn't add the pit back but id look for an alternative to the way the game currently ends.

    Although that is true, the trappers can easily build another trap in the pit, and gather supplies for it before hand.

    trappers and towers often spend half their game building their trap or their tower with strategies being based off the terrain around them. Such as snow or Dirt if you were a worm etc, after spectating several games that have went on to the pit i can assure you that unless they are a stomper that can tower for dear life and unsuspectingly stomp them. The tower or trapper will almost always lose.

    The world border is intended to shrink to a very small size in replacement for the pit. I believe this is actually currently in.

    You seem to be ignoring my points... Without the pit Mc-Hg just insta-kills players....

    Pit is definitely better than selecting whoever has the most kills.

    Having a world border shrinking doesn't fix anything. At the end of the day trappers and towers will still get caught due to their inability to move. A pit would serve a better purpose than the boarder shrinking.

    Having an enclosing border will affect trappers / towerers to where they have to get closer to the better geared playesr and most of the time lose to them. Plus the hassle of having to move their trap that took them 20 minutes to make.
    HG shouldn't just randomly kill everybody except who has the most kills at a random time. If anything there should be a warning that time is approaching but there isn't. The pit in the end does the same thing but allows more time and more chance of them actually dying.

    I agree with this, I'd prefer to have atleast a fighting chance of killing the guy with the most kills, rather than just getting auto-killed - it can become quite frustrating.

    I Prefer a reverse Pit. Make a pit on the feast. 10 minutes after feast or more, spawn everyone around the feast and make the grass blocks come back and whatever. water and lava dissapears, the chest respawn with slightly less items than before and bam... now players can prepare for reverse pit in a new way!

    No the not at all, im a trapper and a towerer, i can see this being helpful. main hunters will be looking in chest and fighting. you can tower up to towers already built.

    Instead of a bonus feast do that, And don't delete any blocks 15 above the grass and if players are already at feast they don't get teleported. grace peroid 5 seconds, grass is replaced, chest is refilled... PUT SOME F ' IN LAPIZ IN THEM. and the table is back. Can't break glass or wall.
