Literally the Most RETARDED pool rules ever?!

    Ok here is another silly topic I just had to talk about! I had to rant about this because it was just that funny! But seriously, It was a waist of money for me today.

    Lets get started on when we had gone to this pool... My parents added me there as a "Guest" because 1, it was my first time there and 2, I was not a member of the YMCA. Well when we tried to get through they said that my parents had to "Call 24 hours in advance to let me in". Well we had to get the manager and she said the same thing but happily let us though this one time.... Now going to the locker room on the door and I'm not even joking, it said "PLEASE do not flush Bathing Suits or Towels down the toilet, ITS ILLEGAL" and I don't know what kind of idiot it took for them to put this crazy sign up...

    Finally were at the pool, we go in its packed to the limit and 1 end of the pool had a lot of less people there so I just swam over there into the "Deep End" (5ft) and I literally got banned from swimming for 15 minutes because I swam into 5 feet without a band or an adult attending me.... LIKE HOW RETARDED IS THAT?! When I was allowed back in I jumped in for about 5 minutes and we got kicked out again for "Adult Swim" then they closed.... for a meet.

    By now we go into the indoor pool and we get in on this empty side where nobody was at and get forced into the crowded 1 end of the pool because 3 of the 4 lanes are used for Adult Swimming Exercise while there is only 1 lady getting 3 lanes to herself because all the people there were parents. Like at this point I wanted to yell at the staff but they were so strict, IT WAS INSANE. Now since were now stuck at the deep end and cant really swim my sister floated off and grabbed the thing in-between the lanes and she gets yelled at for grabbing them because I DON'T KNOW WERE FROM COLORADO AND WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM WELL YET?! After that we just get out and leave and here's how we go ok? On the way of checking out apparently guests are only allowed once a year in this YMCA place so yeah.

    This was just a great first experience at the YMCA

    You get mad because you didn't follow the rules. Literally everything "wrong" with the pool is your fault. Parent swim is fine.

    Well here in California the beach is only a couple minutes away...

    100x better than a crowded indoor pool

    You got banned for 5 feet into water without parental supervision? In the swim team, the shallow end of the water is 5 feet for us. ._.

    Sounds like the time I get yelled at by a lifegaurd who obviously had just been hired, for going into the 3 foot deep child zone that was attached to the main pool. THe reason for this is because my friend decided to shove my head underwater. So I am choking and the lifegaurd notices this and then says get out of the child zone. Then my friend grabs me and I shove him off and I got yelled at because the lifegaurd said "No roughhousing!".

    Pretty much explains why I have a pool that's enough for around 20 people. (Not my idea, my dad got sick of public pools for the same reason so he started building one)

    But 5 feet deep in the deep end? Were you in the baby pool by mistake?

    Also, there's a recreational facility near me that doesn't mind what you do. As long as you can swim (you have to take a 10 foot swim test when you come in) you can pretty much do whatever besides run and climb inside/on places that have netting on them.

    It's pretty fun, like a chill version of the YMCA. Pics:

    Okay, I just have to say: What.The.Hack.
    I mean, what kind of rules is it that you americans have?! xD
    Do you really have this strict rules? At our local swimming hall we just need to follow some rules, like not running outside the bassins. But seriously, parental overwatch (or whatever it's called xD)? How old do you need to be before you don't need it? And I mean, 5 feet? Wut??
