Gladiator Border Trap

    I was playing a game and was chasing after a gladiator. He ran to the edge of the world and put me in the shadow game. The cage stuck out of the map and I was killed because I escaped the map because the shadow game teleported me out, while the gladiator was safe and created a wooden wall to block himself from me- his name was charleslav. Please fix gladiator to make it so the cage fight cannot escape the map.
    If it's against the rules or something ban that keed :stuck_out_tongue:

    I see it more as good strategy. Since I don't know much about HG this may be to OP, not sure if it's removable. Ow, and banning him wouldn't be fair in my opinion, again I don't know if this is happened on McPvP and or is/was punishable. Besides that, we haven't valid proof. :wink:

    Traps similar to this were around, but I've only seen this one on Brawl. They were never punishable either :stuck_out_tongue:

    But yeah, I think traps aren't overpowered but are very annoying and can ruin a good game, I'd love to see them removed as much as possible.

    I assume this is the trap you're talking about? I'm not sure if it's considered a bannable offence (i personally don't see it that way) but since it's quite strategic (and counterable) I don't think it's anything too rule-break-worthy. That's coming from someone who expects to deal with traps every game, so I guess you consider it bias.

    Just when you see someone running to the edge of the map and just randomly stopping there (or just someone standing at the corner/edge), don't engage them right away. Try to use either ranged weapons or your kit if you are something like grappler/ninja to catch hem on the other side. If all else fails you can just ignore them and wait it out.

    It was in the morning and I was ticked off so I kind of just posted this... :stuck_out_tongue:
    Anyway, now I kind of realize it was just some stupid trap... so yeah.

    I guess it wouldn't hurt to use the same trap :stuck_out_tongue:

    Oh good someone smart finally lol. It is a good strategy but a way to counter is always "Dont chase recklessly" AND "Attack from Afar" And no this was not punishable from mcpvp.

    People need to learn how to counter traps. But impossible traps to avoid are the ones that need to be fixed. Like old Sky Forcefield traps with redstoner kit. I wont explain why because it might be abused again.

    Things I want back is "Remove Barrier Wall" "Return Sky Forcefield"

    (Sky forcefield is when you can build up to 128 "AND" if you stand at 128 you take sky forcefield damage which is similar to wall forcefield)

    Are you kidding me? You shouldnt be able to go outside the forcefield
    You guys need to fix the Gladiator kit

    we all know what the forcefield suppose to be like. and btw no one likes the wall. The people who DO are the people who hunt. so I say remove forcefield and keep it invisible. Hunter just need to learn to stay away from there

    The positives of the current forcefield (wall) is that it is created from an iconic block which is seen all theoughout minecraft, which therefore makes it easily understandable for the new arriving players on our server.

    I can imagine it could also potentially create less lag than perhaps the old wall, and even the borderless maps.

    I personally liked the borderless maps aswell as a seasoned HG player, yet I can understand the motivation ehind the current one.
