At the current BETA stage, you can expect bugs as Geothermal said however it's purposely set like this to keep games short to ensure that we always have a game to play. Look at it at the bright side.

It also makes the player with the most kills win, so try to be a high scoring killer to ensure the win.

 

Yes . Now i would like to say that i personally have not noticed this at the 40minute mark although i must admit i dont actually keep track of ingame time nor do i have recollection of all the HG games i have played on the brawl servers . And also as stated above i doubt this is a glitch but rather a dead end that the coders have not yet worked on to fix .

 

Yeah, the reason I'd see behind it is so there is ALWAYS a server available when you want to play, whether it be soup or no-soup.

 

A pretty dim light side IMO.

 

I think the reason is that brawl has 3 servers of each now. (Last I checked) they don't want a server to be used for 20 mins+ after all of them are in play. That's why games are going on constantly. Fast and easy games!

 

I don't think that the games ending at 40 minutes a permanent addition. Considering the fact that there is no indication nor warning of this happening I think that it's simply just a place holder for when the coders add an actual pit of some sort.

I'd like to see the pit re-added in some way, maybe not the pit again but some other fair game-ending sequence that doesn't cripple traps or towers as much.

Yes i agree especially with the quite limited number of available servers at the moment , regardless i would like to see something used to wrap up the game somehow like ( person with most kills wins ect. ) i understand the pit is bad for traps because they will always get the shorter end of the stick .

 

That's how it works at the moment, the most kills wins after the 40 minute duration.

40 min for a soup game is way too short especially if there are more than 50 players in a game

 

The same exact thing happened to me and the guy using force field won there were 7 players left

 

When there is a large amount of players I agree.
However an average game with minimal players (20-40) the 40 min games are fine.
You've just got to deal with it I guess, it adds another element of "needing to be a high scoring killer" to the game.
