Which is why I'm saying 3 coders is not nearly enough. Hiring new coders is nothing new, nor is onboarding them to how things work. It takes a couple of weeks for them to develop the knowledge base to code (unless we are hiring morons). The rest they pick up in a few weeks/months. Usually, they are partnered with a more senior coder to check their work.

I just said "good amount of code". I was disproving your statement and wasn't giving any excuses.

Besides, do you know anything about coding plugins?

Adding onto Nom's post bellow, CTF still isn't out of Beta either.

It took over two weeks to get HG running, after a lot of hard work from CoderTim. CTF took longer and Build took over a month. War 2.0 is a brand new server, more than just adapting an already made server to a different backend. And MCPVP's servers were TOP priority. We had a contract with a specific deadline and knew we had to meet it. It could have easily taken us longer but we luckily had CoderTim - who first coded Build and recently re-coded CTF - and myself, who worked solely on CTF and HG at MCPVP.

Yes I do, I'm currently a Java Developer for a future server network in the works and have been working with the language for a good 2 years.

Thank you for responding. I was unaware it took this long to convert them. May I ask why it took so long if possible? From a developer's prospective. I'm just curious because other than data transfer, there shouldn't have been that many issues. Of course, I did notice you guys changed the scoreboards etc. but that doesn't count towards setup in my opinion.

Imagine you run a factory that makes cars. You know exactly how to make your cars: which tools you use, where everything goes, in what order things happen. Imagine one day you are told you need to move your operations to a brand new factory with a different floor plan. Suddenly your operations don't go the same way, your tools no longer match, etc. All major servers have large consistent backends and changing them is tough, as they are part of every piece of code.

Okay, thank you for the explanation. I said from a developers perspective but that will do. Either way, this still does not resolve the main point of this thread.

The problem is you admins are trying to do too much at once. This has been the problem from the beginning. You need to slow down and release small but frequent updates that keep the community interested, instead of hyping up a massive server redo that never gets done.

That right there sums it up.
Brawl has been working up the hype for years! They've given us spoilers and more. I know they want to release everything at the same time, but it been so long that by the time the update does drive, people will be burned out. Instead of Pumped at the new server they will never be content, instead scrutinizing it to its fullest extent.

Brawl needs to learn some goddam priorities...

So effing what if there are more projects? How about the one that you have announced almost 2 years now?!

And the clan glitches on the main war.... What the hell...

People have been raging about it for over half a year now, and the staff won't even acknowledge it's existence.

Brawl is embarrassing, it's complete lack of integrity and backbone is infuriating. When the hell is 2.0 coming out, or at least when is the normal War going to get fixed.

As Brawl's players we have probably experienced what is most complete lack of honesty of any big server on Minecraft.

Can you give us an actual release date, and actually live up to it? Consider this a dare, on which if it is not completed in the next few months you will lose all good reputation for any claims you make...

War 2.0. is one of those things where I think "I know it's going to come out eventually, but it could be days, months, or even years away." At this point, I honestly don't know what to expect. We've been fed hype for two years now, and seem no closer than we were at the beginning. With the dates being constantly inaccurate, it's hard to know what to believe. I'm in a "Oh, maybe it will be this time!" mentality. I will say that I'm cautiously optimistic about this one, though I was duped by the May 2015 date. When it comes out, it comes out and I'll be surprised when it does.

I see something not happening this month.

The coders SHOULD be working on War 2.0, not this future of brawl stuff.. Myortvye said McMoba would be released in 2014, here we are 7 months later. War should be the coders main focus. They are lazy.

Because there's a difference between a real life riot and a forum game riot. A riot in real life, they're no virtual admin to stop those people in which law enforcement comes here. In an online game, what the admins say, goes. You can start a riot or protest and they'll just pass it by for the many other loyal people they have. Or just perm ban the people trying to start a problem and move on. You can't rush coding, really.

You seem to forget that the admin also relies on the players to keep the server alive. If the community wants something to happen, the admin will listen.

    Before I said the following:

I can count all the way up to infinity, TWICE, before war 2.0 comes out ;V

If the coders manage to make war 2.0 this month... It would make up for almost every lie the coders have told to us about the release date.

We've even had a test server for War 2.0. And that was almost two years ago. Whatever happened to that code? I know that coding takes a while and real life gets in the way, but we've had several new servers since War 2.0 has been announced. It seems to me that the coders have enough time on their hands to pump out new servers, but Brawl has decided to prioritize all servers (including all future servers not even imagined yet) ahead of McWar.

With the amount of attention War is getting, I'm surprised it hasn't just crashed and been forgotten about.

Pretty sure they have jobs and if not, they can just shut this down and make a new one. I for one, don't give two ****s about the 2.0 update and am willing to wait as long as possible for this so called "update" to come out.

To be honest, if orange was still around, **** would be done by now.
