Video Games Mafia Season 14.5 [16 Players]

Hey guys!

I'd like to announce a new season of Mafia. This (along with all seasons denoted by non-integral numbers) will be a side season. Side seasons, with a few exceptions, go by the same core rules as the main seasons, but usually have some gimmick or absurd bullcrap that makes it... interesting, shall we say.

If you don't know how to play Mafia, you're in the wrong place - these seasons are for experienced players. This time, you must have played main seasons of Mafia two times in the past to join. The only core rule change that will occur this time is that the roles of the dead will not be announced. EDIT: THIS CHANGE HAS BEEN REVERSED, CORE RULES ARE THE SAME.

Welcome to Mafia Season 14.5! The theme of this season is Wizard Wars.
Every player is a Magician who knows how to perform various spells. Each spell costs one mana, and classes have varying mana caps.
Roles are COMPLETELY RANDOMIZED! The set of spells you know is randomized, the amount of mana you have is randomized, etc.
You may get spells that you find completely useless.

The following is the spell list:

Hex: Selects a random spell (not necessarily one you know!) and performs it on your target. Costs NO MANA, and everyone knows it (will not appear on your spell list)

1. Life Bond: Selects a player and protects him for one night. If he is attacked, however, you die instead.
2. Heal: Protect one person from death for one night.
3. Smoke Bomb: Prevent one person from casting his spell that night.
4. Wizard's Eye: Investigates someone to determine whether they are good or evil.
5. Hypnotize: Hypnotize people into respecting you, allowing your votes to count triple the next day.
6. Mana Bolt: Kills a player. If both the caster and the target are good, caster commits suicide the following night.
7. Foresight: Investigates a player to determine what spell he used on whom.
8. Refresh: Take a spell list, mana pool, and alignment from someone in the Graveyard.
9. Barrier: Protect yourself from death for one night.
10. Analyze: For each spell your target knows, there is a 50% chance it will be revealed to you.

 

The game started before you joined. In addition, I don't believe you've played two seasons before. Side seasons like this one require experience playing regular seasons, as these seasons are more difficult to play successfully. Keep an eye out for Mafia Season 15, which will be easier to play and will hold more people.
