Oh my god, I knew it. I knew the only reason you were making those guides was to get j-mod. Sorry, but this thread is basically admitting to me that you're not in it to help the community, you're in it for the power.

 

I'm not the one applying for a moderator position here, you are; I'm not required to be nice to the community. Helpfulness doesn't correlate with kindness. My helpfulness involves brutal honesty and critical feedback, not kind words and sprinkling them with sugar. If you think I've never been helpful on this forum, you are narrow-minded. I could easily link some examples as proof.

That's an overexaggeration. I have checked your stats. You may not be new to Brawl, but you haven't seemed to be playing Mc-War a whole lot. I haven't ever seen your name on the server until recently, despite me being here since mid 2013.

You're right, I'm not level 100, I'm level 95 or 96. I quit the server a long time ago (over a year). You haven't seen me on War because I've been gone for a long time, before you started playing more often. In fact, this brings up a very interesting point. You say you're a very well known member in the War community and you have never heard of me until now, yet I am triple your level. You are a level 32, correct?

HmanAskey is an MVP, which gives him a large advantage to level boost due to the MVP xp boost. I, on the other hand have never been a VIP or MVP.

I never said reaching level 100 wasn't an achievement. I said that it's not worth showcasing on the forum, because it's not an outstanding achievement. By that, I mean so many people have now reached that goal, it's no longer mind boggling to the rest of the community. You took my words and twisted them into another meaning.

How come I came close to doing this in under a year before I quit the server, without a rank or buying xp?

 

First of all Xavier you need more posts than 41. People need to know that you are well aware of this community. Secondly I have never seen you on ts and I am very active on it. It may be time zones, what time zone are you in?
And thirdly you were recently kicked for an out of map glitch. This shows me you aren't ready yet.

Also you have made 3 mod apps since the 20th, I would suggest waiting at least a month or two. And your threads aren't the most helpful. Everyone knows what the ray-gun or chow is...
Not trying to be harsh but that is the truth.

 

I was going to give you a giant paragraph on insight coming from a former moderator, but I got lazy and decided not to. Long story short, improve your activity and attitude towards others. Also, don't make threads like these. They show that you're desperate to obtain staff. PM higher-ups instead.

 

I haven't lately been on War much, but I can say that I haven't really seen you online. You also need more forum posts, 41 isn't going to really cut it unless you just switched over from MCPVP. I haven't really seen you on Teamspeak either, but I shouldn't really judge that since timezones can be annoying.

Also, like @Striker_Nine said, it seems like you are doing this for power.

You don't stop arguments by locking threads, by the way. What's that game of thrones quote?
'silencing somebody doesn't make you look powerful, it makes you look afraid of what they have to say'.

You asked for feedback, you got feedback. Most of it brutally honest but still with advice. Your reaction to the feedback shows more about your chances of becoming a mod than you'd think.

Maybe try to be more accepting of feedback, or at the very least ignore it, instead of ad-homing striker nine. And, what others said before still applies, by basically admitting that you were trying for mod, you're implying (even if it isn't true) that you wouldn't have been helpful if you weren't going for mod.

So, if this thread gets locked, take away at least two things: mod should happen because the mods want you, not because you want mod, AND: if you become a mod, most criticism, even the criticism you don't like the tone of, should be responded to politely (or at least ignored), instead of lashing out.
