HG Teams - Community's Opinions

Please don't assume the Brawl staff is absolutely against something only because we only heard one negative opinion so far. We are always open for more input and we will consider all sides carefully before we make any decisions, it is unnecessary to act such aggressive towards us.

It is right that we already decided to add one match server for CTF, which will be used for tournaments, matches and streams. I do not think there will be much space for HG matches on this server.

We can not simply close 2 HG servers and use them for closed matches only, because then there wouldn't be enough for the public.
Brawl will of course have to pay for the server you would be using, so please understand that we want more information and details before we spend money on a server that will not directly get us any money, because it is unpublic.

 

Acutally, the HG teams server was used for tournaments, matches and streams. It was a stream server before we were allowed to use it for our matches. It wouldn't be for closed matches only, (we should've mentioned this earlier).

It would be used for multiple things like the CTF match server, and would get you money. Teams often try to plan strategies for matches, that involve certain kits. People will buy those kits, and there you go - money.

In fact, I believe that it'd be more money producing than CTF (the team server) because CTF only has like 15 classes you can buy, while HG has 100+.

 

HG needs a stream server for sure. Those streams are fun

 

Honestly, teams bring in a huge amount of players, and keep even more players on the server. Teams enhance the experience of being on Brawl, and I don't see a reason why not to have them. You guys have an event server, which I have seen used once (by me...). That could be used if absolutely necessary.

The only concern the Brawl Staff seem to have is with money. On mcpvp (as previously mentioned) money was not spent on HG teams. This is because the server had multiple purposes. Mods here seem to be in the mindset that these servers will be used once or twice every Saturday and will locked and closed and useless every other point in time. This should not be the case. These servers can also be used for streams, tournaments, and bug testing. The streams actually bring in a large chunk of people.

I don't see a reason to not keep teams imo.

 

I don't exactly agree with the whole "teams bring in a huge amount of players", because it doesn't exactly get advertised too often and is more of a seasoned players domain. However, your point on "keeping players on the server" is spot on, it enhances the experience for veterans and it makes players want to play more to fight with their team.

Using the event server is another good point, I don't see why we shouldn't use it if it's hardly being used? (in my experience atleast). However I think the event server was taken down to make room for other servers from MCPVP? (mcbuild?). It really depends on how much the Brawl administration team want the teams to run, I guess.

I'd like to put in my two cents about the streams.
The streams bring in a lot of players because they are generally enjoyable if done correctly (i.e, when BBH used to stream on MCPVP), ontop of this the streams generally had lots of giveaways and events which players love fighting for. I personally found so much motivation trying to go on streams as much as possible to try win stuff and get noticed by the person running the stream (if that makes sense). These streams run a lot better when there is a server to support it because it is a dedicated IP and is less laggy, it also creates less hassle for the streamer.

 

I've never been in a match (coz of my timezone) but I'm in a team and it is really exciting to hear about your team entering a match. It must be brought backback

 

I agree it was definitely exciting when something like that was broadcasted (i had many team matches in maze runner) but I'm not sure if it's worth investing in another server or two just flr teams, unless the demand increases (if you get where I'm coming from)

They were more "staffish" than a lot of staff tbh.

I was one of the biggest supporters, and then when it came out I was ecstatic!
And then my team had to postpone their game twice for various reasons and then, two days or something before when the match was scheduled... McPvP shut down.
So I never even got a chance to play
......

HG teams are awesome, I worked fairly hard getting people to help and it would be nice if it could be brought back!

 

I think you're thinking of the QQ. This is different.
I was (and am again) a Dragon Nation member. We all suck at this (me included) but it was massive fun.

Oops. Let's face it, I didn't read every post. Again.

 

I personally was never involved in HG teams and I never really saw that many videos about it. I assumed it was just there and not that popular but now I think differently. From the looks of it, it seems to be doing very well and I might even join sometime!

 

Honestly HG is already starting to get less and less players and I think this would keep them around. Also, notice there hasn't been that many of the old youtubers on mcpvp still around. I think that if we could get them to try this out they would enjoy it.

 

I never got involved in this game mode, but it sounds very entertaining. I personally play HG a lot and I think it could use something new to help with HG being too repetitive.

 

I think they should. Players will always team, so why not make it easier? If the game is made for teams, players will eventually ALWAYS team. Teams VS Teams. Which means there should be a team leaderboard for most kills and most wins!

 

Yes, there should be a bracket system, and the top team of the month gets rewards?
