the problem.

so we all know, regarding war, theres this problem..... sometimes its there and sometimes its not. its dang annoying when it exists. almost always unplayable. but the admins say they cant do anything about it. it has decreased the amount of people that play on war by a giant number. war is dwindling. from a programmers standpoint and understanding copyrights and everything i can see why you guys cant really mess with the old plugin. and thats the problem right? outdated plugins. got it. but i know there is one thing you can do thats easy and quick. whenever the servers restart they are good for about 2 hours of play then they become la**y. so why not set the server restart time to every 2 hours. i dont think people would mind having to wait ten seconds of no play while the server restarts in exchange for no lag. just an idea. i hope war2.0 is soon......

ok thats great, but why not just fix the problem permanently? its not that hard to change the restart time on a server.

 

so what? is everyone really so swamped that nobody wants to open the server properties file and change the 8 or 10 hour cycle to a 2 hour cycle. you change 2 numbers??? (well it depends on what version of bukkit but still...) really nobody wants to spend 10 minutes tops fixing this. geez....

 

its not a code issue. well it is but the code need not be changed. go into the dang server properties and change the restart time. thats all it takes. then the mods dont have to keep requesting restarts because the server will never get to the point of lag before it automatically restarts. im not asking you to recode anything. just change the frequency of the restarts. geez since you all wont listen to logic here just please lock this damn thread
