Kit: Squire

I think having to take off armor will completely screw you if against multiple people. It would be a very unbalanced team. Dealing 3.5 hearts is diamond sword damage. Imagine early game being fighting someone with a diamond sword...you lose.

I DO really think a kit that pierces armor is good though, this just needs adjustments IMO.

 

Squires would rise over if this was added, because ppl would go squire just to take down classes meant to be able to withstand damage, not wearing armor wouldn't be a good counter because the squire might tag team with stronger classes.

 

I am saying Squire would be equal to having a diamond sword during early game, sorry if I am not too clear.
If you bypass their armor and do 3.5 hearts, it is just hitting someone with a diamond sword.

 

Skate is right, a diamond sword does 3.5 (7) hearts damage, the iron sword does prob 3 (6) hearts damage so

 

6 damage= 6 half hearts, which is 3 hearts. Seven damage with diamond sword, 6+1=7, 1 damage= 1 half heart. 0.5=half. Dia sword is 3.5

 

8 would be 4 hearts.
7 / 2 = 3.5.


This just happened to be the first picture I found that was missing hearts, and it was the correct amount!

 

It's a good concept for a kit, I like the idea of a kit that can ignore armor. It's just that I can see this being really powerful in a team, as you'd either have to take off your armor and be at a disadvantage to the non-Squire, or leave your armor on and be at a disadvantage to the Squire.

 

Diamond

 

It's very OP if you team with someone who isn't a Squire

 

1. It's not easy to separate a team, go try that.
2. If only the starting iron sword can pierce armour, that's even worse. They can go around with a regular sword and the one you spawn with, and when they take off their armour, they use the regular sword, when they put on their armour, they use the Squire sword

I see potential in this kit, just need to change a bit

 

I've heard the concept of "armour piercing weapons" quite a few times from memory and I believe they got shot down every time. Personally, I don't think it should be added because it would give the user too much of an advantage, especially if they are in teams. Teams with good communication aren't easily broken in a HG game, so the only way I would see a (reasonably) balanced fight would be against a gladiator.

Perhaps if this were tweaked slightly if it may be acceptable, but at the moment I don't see potential in it as it would be too much of a dramatic game changer.

 

Maybe the weapon does a maximum of 2.5 hearts?

 

That could be interesting, it really depends on a testing phase in my opinion. It's very difficult to judge a kit like this theoretically, without the practical side. (if that makes sense ~)
