How to bring back HG :)

    Over the past year the activity in the Hardcore Games has diminished to almost nothing of what it used to be. I WANT to see these servers repopulate to what they once were, and to do this I believe that the following steps have to be taken.
    - More Moderators have to be in games to stop hackers. Especially those who are dedicated to seeing the server thrive.
    - More kits should be released each week to keep the excitement up. But the main focus should be attracting more players.
    - The forcefield barrier should return to its very first state when you couldn't see it and it did damage to you.
    I want to see the third point happen because this encompasses many people who did fun traps at the forcefield, but now they can't because of the new barrier.

    More moderators are definitely needed, but they need to be in a greater variety of timezones. I live in the UK and I don't ever see mods on till around 7-8pm. I think if we got a couple more mods that were situated in different timezones to the ones we already have, it would fill the gaps and help combat the hacker issue.

    The kit point I don't agree with, the game is already overwhelming to new players. Adding more kits would only make this issue worse, as nobody would know what anybody does and we would all just be running around like headless chickens :stuck_out_tongue:

    The forcefield I don't have too strong an opinion on, as I don't feel like it changed the game too much. If anything, it made it easier for new players to actually enjoy playing as they could clearly see exactly where the map boundaries were.

    1. More mods are needed, but from what I've seen Brawl staff are faster to decline an application than accept one.

    2. I don't agree with this, because too many kits will make people confused. Instead of this, they should rotate the free kits every 2 weeks

    3. No. Lots of people quit from inescapable traps

    1. I somewhat agree: Not necessarily need more mods just more hackers banned.
    2. Disagree completely: New kits wont attract more players. Hard and time consuming for developers and staff to think and create new kits every week.
    3. Disagree completely: Thats all an opinion. Many noobs don't know barrier traps so making the barrier the way it used to be wont have an effect on keeping incoming players interested.

    Overall i don't think any of these will help make HG huge again. Like i said on another post, i believe the best way to make HG huge again is to use the new Hunger Games movie coming out on November 20th. That movie will be HUGE. I'm personally not a fan of the films or books but many people are and it will be the ending of the series and people will go crazy to do anything Hunger Games. We need to attract new people to the game and changing the game we currently have will have little to no effect to getting new players.

    Just spit-balling ideas but maybe making HG a spoof of the Hunger Games will intrigue new people?

    1. That's true. We need more mods, especially EU mods.
    2. I disagree. We need to buff/rework/remove all the kits, until every kit has a use and gets played.
    3. I think the forcfield is fine as it is.

    Im not gonna reiterate on what all the other said, but brawl knows the changes they had to make, its no secret what they were but they simply didnt give a **** when they took it over and it was nothing more than a ****tier version of mcpvp's. Hence why its playercount is nothing compared to what it was before mcpvp went offline.

    Stupid mistakes such as alternating between soup and no soup instantly sealed hg's fate on brawl, just another example of idiots taking over a server and thinking they know what's best for something that they have been in control of for 2 weeks compared to 3 to 4 year veterans........

    Hg is dead and nothing will fix that now.... dont bother dwelling on it or attempting to fix it.

    First of all its still in beta. The player count is probably around the same if not more than the moments before mcpvps demise. And hg isnt dead. not yet atleast. I feel like if we do not gather more players it will die but we can still do that.

    I used to respect you, but just sitting on the sidelines trashing brawl has made me lose all respect for you.

    Agree some what on 1.
    Disagree on 2. They used to do a new kit every week but the thing is they were good kits most of the time. After while it just started stacking up. At one point 120 kits. That's too much.
    I agree sort of on 3. Sure it could provide traps but some people don't like traps. Yes they are fun but traps has changed a lot of HG! And for noobs, they won't know what it is happening.
