Buff: Pyro

    Pyro at the moment:
    • Flint and Steel
    • 5 Fire Charges

    Pyro Buffed:
    The Pyro kit starts with a flint and steel, when the pyro is inside fire they have strength 1 (have to be physically inside the fire, not on fire).

    Counter:
    -     Rain
    - Water Buckets


    Pyro is horribly underused because it's fire charges are close to useless and flint and steels are easily made, therefore rendering the kit useless. On top of that, there's no real ability - just vanilla items.

    I agree that the kit needs a buff, but even with the buff I still don't see it used very much, if I would think it would be used if you got the speed 1 when on fire and strength 1 when in the fire, so you can chase people that run away from you in the fire.

    In that case though you could pretty much have permanent speed 1.
    In fights you could make a zone of fire and then use the strength 1 to your advantage, it could prove to be a pretty decent kit compared to what it is now.

    I like it a lot, seems really similar to poseidon in the fact that you have to actually be in something for it to work. It's also fairly easily counter able, just break the fire. If you managed to catch people on fire you or trap them in a cave you could very easily do strength and fire damage to them.

    It's also useless in rainy situations, and can also be countered by water buckets.
    Just like poseidon, it can be quite powerful in close quarters situations as you said, should it also perhaps NOT be immune to fire? So it's not too powerful and there's a downside of using it?

    Yeah, pretty powerful!
    Just like fireman + poseidon, berserker + hades/beastmaster/cannibal/chameleon

    I love the idea because it is in need of a serious buff, and buffing this will check one more lot of the list of kits needing a buff! Good job! :smile:

    Perhaps, I'll think about it.

    Meh, fire charges are horribly underpowered in my opinion.

    Perhaps a rechargeable feature would work, but what would be the parameters? Every couple minutes? Every successful hit?

    Hahaha , this post gave me a good chuckle :wink: Pyro does not need a buff , the charges in no-soup are great and flint and steal if used correctly is very strong . I for one would like to see no changes made to pyro as i see it as a viable kit to pick .

    Do you honestly look at Pyro and let's say Ninja/Grappler and pick Pyro from that lot? It doesn't happen. I've seen 1 player in my entire time (without the kit being free) play Pyro.

    This could make it decent.

    Honestly, thor does what pyro does but instead it strikes lightning and makes fire.
