    This was something I brought up on McPvP and as far as I was aware was going to be added, but never did in the end. Decided to bring it back, as I really like the idea and I think it could be added.

    Some games have so little players that the forcefield is too big, whereas other games can have so many players that the forcefield isn't big enough. To fix this, the forcefield should change at the start of each game depending on the amount of players on.

    For every player when the game starts, 10 blocks is put onto the forcefield. The minimum would be 200x200, and the maximum would be 700x700. The forcefield size would be announced in chat, and after the game starts, will not change.

    No. It can completely kill your strategy. If you find a swamp at 300 300, but since there's very few players, it only goes to 200x200, an so you won't have soup. It works the reverse too. You find something within 500x500 and the Forcefield increases to 700x700, and since you couldn't scout out that area, you don't know what's there so you may die from a trap

    No, but I disagree with this completely, 1000 x 1000 is more than enough. :smile:

    I hate the idea , in short this is due to the fact that you can end up in a game with no swamp ect. In addition I think traps can be murdered by this strategy due to a lack of the needed biome ect. Just as a example think of someone using thor trying to make a trap , they cant find a mountain ect. above y=80 and they are done , kinda sucks does it now ?

    The problem has never been map size , the biggest issue are towers which can take an abundance of time and attention , a good towerer is one of the biggest threats in the game .

    I personally think map size is fine at the moment, and would this not potentially cause lag pre-game?
    This could as said above also potentially stop certain strategies which could get annoying, therefore I say keep the forcefield static as it is.

    Back in the good ol' days I remember xxxxdead telling me that there's always a swamp in a 150x150 radius of spawn, it might've been changed in Brawl though.

    Right now I don't see a huge need for this.. Could cause lag but is a cool idea. It might be implanted if enough players start demanding for it or more players join

    It could possibly kill certain strategies such as the Hermit kit or finding swamps if the map were to be too small. One of the things I like about the current size of the map is that you can run out to the border and set up a trap/mine without being bothered for a long time.

    I just think having a smaller force field would be too limiting on what strategies you could do.

    I like the idea, but I agree that that a small force field could kill strategies.
