this is very nice but I don't think people are that generous around here (especially warz..), it also seems very tedious

I'd definitely +1 this. I'd donate to it aswell. I feel that Brawl's staff do an amazing job for little reward. I like the idea.

 

Perhaps do what old MCPVP did and introduce a donation fund feature where you pick where your money goes.
(i.e, development of new servers). We could add staff to that list.

Since not all servers are as popular as each other and since not all servers have the same amount of staff, I think the donated money should simply be equaly split for all staff. This would make it so much fair.

 

No, it wouldn't. If I donate, I want my money going to the people who inspired the donation, not others associated with those people.

And if you split it equally among staff everyone would get like... 15 cents.

 

Agreed, you should be able to choose where XX amount of money goes.
Let's say I donate $10 or so to Brawl, I should be able to chose which server staff I want it to go to (e.g., HG). 50% should be then paid to staff and the other 50% to the Brawl funds, etc.

I guess it really depends on how much Brawl are making at the moment, because running the amount of servers they do is not cheap at all especially without accounting for smoderators getting paid, if you get where I'm coming from.

 

Only coders get paid (Mario is an exception).

Yes, entirely. You're suggesting that no matter how hard you actually work, you are guaranteed the same amount of money as everyone else. That is an awful idea. If I want to give money to WarZ staff, it's going to WarZ staff or I won't donate at all. When people donate money to help disease research, HIV workers don't get the same money as something less significant, like Strep Throat workers. Do you see the problem here?

 

That's a bad comparison.. All (j)moderators do a good job and deverve the same in my opinion. If this would get a thing, I'd like it to be equal for all moderators. Some servers have a lot less moderators than others, they'd get more money than others. I understand your point, but I think it won't be fair to all staff.
