Thank you! Both sets of information helps out a lot. It makes more sense now. Telling this earlier on would of helped a lot I reckon. Being more open and honest goes so much farther as you know.

By the way I do hope that everything a players has on the soon to be legacy server transfers over to the updated one. That would be one major "screw you" if it doesn't.

I was contemplating posting a thread of this topic but didn't know if the thread would get deleted, or I would get temp ban, etc.

 

The plan was to give you coupons for the shop worth all your War 1.0 donor items.

 

From my gather information and stuff. Here's my own (opinion?).
Yes, we've all been waiting and ranting on about the new War 2.0 coming out and whatnot. But the problem is, most of the players don't know about what the staff does, we can make assumptions about what they're doing and whatnot but not fully know what they are doing. So basically it's mindless and guessing on what is happening until information is seen. All I've seen was the same type of answers/questions the community will ask but they've been answered in different ways. And it is very difficult to please a community, even with one that's been waiting for a long time.
Not everything can go according to plan. Maybe one day, maybe the War/CoD server will be out in due time. Patience is probably something we won't handle too kindly though..

 

That's the point of what I said and that is the problem that needs to be seen.

Is it too much to ask for a posted 2.0 timeline or dashboard that is posted on the forums? I think a major issue is lack of transparency & creating a 2.0 hype train and running it off the rails.

When I saw this I though it said 'What pants?' As in what pants do you wear.

 

That could be done - but if we did that and lets say 3/4 of a server is done and you've seen that and there was something keeping it at delay, wouldn't that create more problems? I'd personally be more mad knowing that war2.0 was done but something was delaying the release rather than not knowing at all.

 

Well, you could just show us a small part to just show you are working on it. I think this will statisfy the community and as they won't know how much is done they can't be mad about it.

 

I think the more transparent the communication is around the work being done the more understanding people will be.
