What 1.9 means for HG

    SethBling did a video on the latest snapshot, and I'm quite excited. Here's the video: (you can skip to much later in the video, that's where the combat is)



    I'm quite excited, as I've said before. More kits can be made, and possibly a new type of soup (not really what I like but it's ok).

    1. Dual-wielding: Pretty useful to be honest, basically to put anything there you either put it in through a slot in your inven or press the F key. Basically, if the item DOES NOT have a right click use (aka eating, blocking with a sword), if you right click on that item in your hotbar it will right click the item in there. Perhaps a spare sword could be put there, or steak/soup, anything that fits your strategy

    2. More arrow types: Good buff to Archer, but that's about it

    3. Eating a certain type of food allows you to teleport: Can be a kit, or a feast item. Sounds quite good in PVP to be honest!

    I was just playing about in 1.9 and I was building and my secondary hand did nothing...

    Everyone said sword blocking was being removed.
    I played the snapshot, swords still block.

    This is just the tip of the iceberg for the changes coming to pvp. Blocking with a sword is suppose to be fully removed, and shields are going to be added. :smile:

    Just bind the switch key to something else :stuck_out_tongue: Not like you have to use it much anyways xD

    How does this degrade HG? I actually find this a boost to HG. There can be more strategies, more skill involved, and maybe more players. And yes, I am a veteran, so I am accustomed to the old school HG
