    Okay, I played the 1.9 snapshot and...
    OMG FUNNIEST THING EVER.
    When you have a sword in your offhand slot, all you can do is block with it.
    The potion arrows aren't even that good. It's alike an ultra-ranged splash potion.
    No shields
    If you have steak in your offhand slot, you can't eat it unless you're holding nothing or an item that can't be right clicked (not swords, blocks, etc.)
    I'm continuing to test this out and laugh at it. Combat update? More like "give me a useless slot!"

    I don't know... the combat is really awesome using your sword and your bow in you hands. The arrows are cool though :wink:

    Yeah. Okay. But until then, this is pathetic. Using f to switch your offhand item is cool, but it's no faster than hot keying.

    Just thought of something:
    You can item-use a diamond axe in one hand and a diamond pickaxe in the other.
    WarZ combo much? Click both mouse pads for an instakill.

    dont even get me started with the dual deagles/Negevs/p90s/ak47s on minestrike..
    How to total domination:
    step 1: buy negev and put it into the left hand slot
    step 2: let someone else (or you) buy another negev for your right hand
    and there you have your total domination. have fun with the 100-0 kdr on minestrike
