Brawl Junior Moderator Application: I would like to personally thank the staff here and back at MCPVP for inspiring me to keep going and never give up. I am always grateful and in your favor, thank you.

Have you read over this thread? - Yes, I have checked numerous occasions on this thread and I am willing to proceed with the application.

What is your in-game name? - Brendoom
Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. - No I have never changed my Minecraft username in all the time I have had Minecraft. If i do change it, I will inform staff members if there is a change of heart.

Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? - No, It's just me. I usually lock my PC anyway when I am away but it's not likely my 17 year old sister is likely to ever access this, she has her own laptop.

How old are you? - I'm 16 and feel as if I am responsible for the rank soon as I am no longer at school and things like that to get in the way. I was born in April 15th 1999.

What time zone are you in? - GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages?
    - Not especially. I am however able to access a translator that can translate any language. This during trial and future moderating should not be a problem to me in the upcoming future soon as I can do this any time I wish.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - My experience with Minecraft started in 2011 where a blocky game on my dad's computer fascinated me. This strange game really caught my attention and grew really attached to it. I wouldn't call my self a addict as much as I used to with Minecraft because at one point, It was an addictive game. The first ever multiplayer server I went on was an online Minecraft which was no where near like the proper game, it was crude and very stale compared to the real game. Then my dad told me there was multiplayer on the official game I bought. I rushed on it when my dad set up a server and I loved every minute playing with my sister and friends. Later on I expanded my interests and tried many servers. There was this one server i was banned on about 3 times for greif. I was really young back then and I was not a smart kid especially and did really stupid things like that.

    My main experiences:

    • Working with the server plugins such as; (Some listed are just for server fun)
    • PermissionsEX, WorldEdit , ClearLagg , World Guard , Factions , ServerSigns for administrators , Citizens, CoreProtect , UltimateHub , ProtocolLib and PlugMan.
    • If i was a staff member, creating rules
    • Aware of all types of commands form Essentials
    • Plenty of knowledge of players (Abuse, Harassment or bullying)

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any?
    - My experience is so vast in moderating servers. Since 2012 and after, I have been all over as well as being with MCPVP, I still was always looking out for a server who needed staff. I have been employed or promoted if you like, to a mod on a server before but not one with a mass community. At this time i would be really irresponsible to be a staff member but I have grown and matured as the years have gone by with Minecraft and think I am ready for the next big thing. I was a moderator on a sever called CastleCraft and it was a fairly quiet server out of all the other ones but served it's purpose. I was able to structure a tiny community by promoting staff, creating rules and ensuring the atmosphere of the server is very positive. This was the most important step to me and I really thing that's the important part of anything to do with a server, I am sure anyone may agree with me on that. I have lots of experience with bullying and harassment and even abuse that I have seen in my time and I would know the appropriate thing to do when taking action in a situation. Now and then however I may struggle but hopefully it should not effect moderating on this server.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? - I am typiclly online everyday. Not to be a suck-up but i do have a lot of free time at the moment so to fill my spare time I go on Minecraft and any other type of games that interest me. The community of Brawl Is huge and are always willing to accept people who are really kind and helpful and fit the job role. I believe I am one of those people. I am able to read lots of forum posts and give useful feedback such as; New class ideas, CTF discussions and importantly the help and support sections when all that eventually opens. I have specialized in the help and support topic at Mcpvp but i will get round to that in the up-coming days when the community base has been built entirely. I can also help the mod team by ensuring that I understand why people may be depressed about something which I am capable to help with, or if any means of help i am able to do it. If anyone including the staff need any help what-so-ever, I will always be here to help out and i can't say more clearly that I mainly don't often disappoint. My aim here is to impress everyone I meet.

I will try to improve Brawl eventually by ensuring I’m there for lots of people and I make sure im on track on all forum posts when it comes and responding to class ideas in the correct responsible way (If there will be one). I am able to show a wide range of ideas within the internet for ctf, however im not that good of a builder but I could think of possible ideas for classes. But my main strengths are being with people in discussions and being able to get to know them and me in-game or on the forum. I can also show Brawl that I was around some time with Mcpvp and I am aware of the standards that Brawl expect. I was part of the HRC team at Mcpvp which was a hack informer in a skype group. I had always been friendly since the day I came to capture the flag and I am not a mean person because all i ever wanted to do is help. I act my own way and have my own personal opinions such as, if they wanted class idea feedback i would give my honest opinion in the most polite way possible. I am really familiar with the game-mode, and I am able to show pride in playing that server. I have many people who know me as a CTF regular and many other friends who I really enjoy spending my free time with.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Yes but only once on a server when I was younger but I wouldn't ever do it again because hacking is no fun anyway for me. Hacking is a issue that Is common on any server no matter when or where, It will always be there. It's very frustrating but this is why it' s fantastic that huge communities like this one have staff and are willing to help and ban hackers.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - As stated above, I have been around a lot. Last time I remember being banned was greifing. It's no fun and it's sad to do so I am not sure why I did it because i don't really remember getting many pleasures out of doing it other than being frustrated to the fact that the mods no longer wanted me on the server anymore. It wasn't serious greif. Only a few blocks. The reason that sparked so much attention was because there was lava and it spread everywhere. I am such an idiot for doing it because he was a colleague of mine and I lost him because of that which I was rather annoyed about. Like I said also above about hacking, I was banned on that one for speed. Like the grefing scenario, there was no pleasure, it was all about me and finding it "funny" somehow when I look back in disappointment because that's what I did and I feel ashamed of doing so.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - My greatest strength like I have said on numerous occasions and that's being friendly and being the sunshine on rainy days. That sounds rather sickly but those are words that are given to me not only in Minecraft but outside in the real world where everyone find me such a pleasure to see and talk to. This is really fantastic because It opens opportunities for me and my future. Everyone likes a nice guy like my dad always told me when I was going through hard times at school back then. I still smiled even though all of the mean and poisonous things that were said to me. I learnt after so long now, it doesn't matter what negativity comes out of peoples mouths. I care for the positive. Sometimes however, listening to the positives CAN be a better thing if you are employed in a business or what have you.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - I do not have a specific weakness. It's really difficult to think about this one because lots of fears of mine i have been able to over come quite recently such as bullying and harassment. If there was anything at all regarding weakness, It would be to handle a situation where I was being insulted directly about family. That seems rather strange probably to many but if there is one weakness, I would point that out and soon as I don't have that many weaknesses. If there is one thing as well would be my temper. I am easily wound up at times. I really hope this wont effect my status because I can get a really great grip on situations like this now and even if i am annoyed on the other side of the screen, I would walk off and cool and then return and start over. The last thing i would ever do is shout and rage at people directly in the chat. It's unprofessional and makes you look irresponsible.

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl? - Like also mentioned above, I can be online everyday without failure. I enjoy coming to Brawl and is by far the best communities I have ever met. It's a fantastic community and I will look forward to working with the players and staff in the future.

Which Brawl servers are you most active on? - I am mainly active on Capture The Flag and regually play Build. On build i build CTF maps and try to get better at them. I am hoping one day I can submit a map of my very own to CTF because It's a special gamemode to me. Not only the fact that I have friends, but I have grown to name it my favorite.

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? - I am obviously from the EU so it will be GMT. I am able to be online practically at the moment all day everyday currently. When I start college in September, I will still be able to spend many hours on Brawl.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? -
    • Spamming | Offensive language | Or any other non-stated | - For a first offense, I'd let them by with a warning. I'd say something around the lines of "Please do not spam in chat." Or I'd state the rule they've broken. If this person continues spamming or breaking the same rule, I'll let them off with another warning and I'll let them know if they continue, a punishment will be given to the player. If I where to phrase the line, I would say; "Please do not spam in chat. If you continue, you'll be muted." If the player still continues on spamming or breaking the rule or offense, I would directly punish the player. I would notify that the player has been muted and the conversation has been closed.

    • Abusing glitches - If I catch someone abusing a glitch, I would kindly ask them to stop before action is taken, and I'd ask them how they found out about this glitch. I would notify them on the procedure on what will happen if this abuse continues. If this person chooses to continue abusing the glitch, I would personally kick them from the server for abusing the glitch because it is not acceptable for anyone to do this. If the person comes back and continues abusing this glitch, I'll kick them again with a temp-ban which bans them for a small amount of time. I am very patient and polite so in this situation, I would handle this really well.
What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? -
    • 18+ material - If I were to see a thread with 18+ content, the thread will be locked so users are not able to reply to the topic.
    • Spam / vulgar language - If the thread has massive amounts of spam or vulgar language, I'd also lock the thread. If the spam is at a minimal, I'll kindly ask the people spamming to stop. But if continued, I will take action and lock the thread.
    • Off topic - If the thread is going off topic, I'd kindly warn the members of the thread to stay on topic. If there are too many viewers however not following the topic, the thread will be locked.
    • Question answered / resolved - If the question to the thread is resolved, I'd lock the thread, for the answer is solved.
    • Grave dig - when a thread is over 30+ days old, people wont usually reply. If people begin to comment again on the thread, I would lock it.
    • Duplicate thread - If a duplicate thread is published, I'd give a link to the first thread created, and lock the duplicate quickly as possible to avoid confusion.
    • Flaming - If flame were to occur on a thread, I would very nicely ask for the flaming to stop because it can become quite harmful to some people. The thread will be locked for flame. I would check the users name and see if this is commonly happening and notify a staff member above me and see what action is to be taken. Possibly a temporary suspension may be in order.
What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? -
    • Mic spamming - If someone were to start mic spamming, for a first offense, I'd let them off with a warning. So I'd say something around the lines of: "please do not mic spam because it is really annoying." If this player continued to mic spam, I'd kindly ask them to stop once again, and I'd also state that it's their last warning before a punishment is given. So I'd say something like: "please do not mic spam. If you continue, you will be muted or kicked temporary from the channel." If the person continues on mic spamming, I'd mute them, and tell the person why they were muted.
    • Vulgar language / profanity - If someone is using vulgar language / profanity, I'll kindly ask them to stop. If they continue using vulgar language or profanity, I will ask them in a polite manor to stop and warn them the next time they break the rule, they will be punished. If the person continues breaking the rule, I'd mute them for vulgar language and kick them from the Teamspeak for profanity.
    • Soundboard - If someone is playing a soundboard in a public channel that's not the music and recording channel, I would first nicely ask them to stop playing music in a public channel and to go to the music and recording channel if they wish to play music. If this person Ignores me for a second time, I'd kindly ask them again to stop playing their music, and move them into the music and recording channel. If this person comes back and continues to play their soundboard, I'd mute this person. When I remove the mute rank and if they're still playing their music, I'd kick them from the server with a time limit to when they can return.
Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? - If a game changing economy glitch were to occur, I would first calm everyone down. I would answer any questions I can, and tell the people that I'm getting an admin on as soon a possible. I'd warn players not to use or abuse this glitch, or anything that involves this game breaking economy glitch. I will be in control of the situation, and I'll remain calm and relaxed and not stressed out. I will continue to moderate and answer questions regarding the glitch until an admin gets online and fixes the problem.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - Only 1 application for staff other than this one has been made. Major improvements in my status has been made since then.

What is the date of the last application you submitted?
    - June 26th 2015.

Do you have a working microphone? - Yes, I have a fantastic microphone for speaking into. It's very high quality. (SnowBall)

Are you able to record and upload videos? - Yes at any time. I have many channels ready for uploading videos.

Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? - Yes, I am aware even with the basics such as in situations when i need to Mute/Kick/Ban.

Anything else we should know about you? -
Yes other than having a really positive attitude no matter where ever I am, there is a few other things that i would call "hobbies":
    • Animal Lover
    • Exercise regularly at the park doing a 5k challenge daily.
    • Love to play PC games
    • Enjoy doing baking and cooking in my spare time
    • Always happy
Thanks for reading! Please take my application into consideration soon as I would really like to be offered this chance! Thanks again!

    Easy +1.

You're very helpful and mature every time I see you on build, and I assume the same for CTF.

Also, I've been seeing you more on the forums, and I've seen you on TS (just keep improving!) .

I've never seen you on TS, but this could be timezones. However, I'm on usually all day.

From what I've heard, you're active, helpful and mature. You seem to have in-depth knowledge of our servers and community as expressed through your detailed and well-thought out application. I believe you are ready, although I'd like to see you more active on TS.

    Good luck.

    Hey Brendoom,
I'd just like to input that your application was fantastic and was written very formally and maturely - keep that up!
Try to improve a tad more on your forum activity (140ish posts in a couple months isn't too bad). I definitely see potential in you!

CTF isn't my home ground so I can't judge anything in-game.

    Best of luck,
    Rytheria.
