Public Chat has issues, many people swear or FAR FAR worse in public chat. It makes it harder to see what's happening on your plot. We should at least have an option to turn it off. No staff member should be allowed to swear in public chat or say something offensive or inappropriate. I understand we can block/ignore people, but that's annoying to do and won't stop many little kids from hearing things they shouldn't have.

    Just report them

(if this has to do with Teamspeak follow this:smile:

I do not agree that people swear, it's not against the rules, if you are uncomfortable I would just ask them to stop. Normally they do not listen. If they continue, just locally mute them.

    Question answered.

It would be nice to at least switch the colors for the global and local chat, the local is more important than the global (usually...).

Little bit late but I don't typically see staff members using foul language in global or local chat. Also, Brawl already has a chat filter. If you would not like to see any global messages on Build, then do /sg false. To turn back on global chat, do /sg true.

It wasn't a question, it was an opinion on how the public chat on Build is atrocious and should be given a filter.

Does make sense when you think about it... I suppose it is a easy change but who knows what the staff are thinking these days

The only staff we have on build is @Flavorous and @Birdgirl and the very infrequent doge. (flav is doing most everything)

If it bothers you that much, just do /sg false- as Wmaney said. I will add that to the Rules thread (it's a tip).
