How to Revive HG

From what I've heard, naming the server "Hunger Games" had run MCPVP into some legal issues, with the movies and all that.

 

Lionsgate didn't like it.
Then again, we could get away with it now because there's nowhere near as much hype.

 

But not with other servers? I know tons of servers with hunger games...

 

Mcpvp had about 1 million players to the small hg servers of 1000>

I agree with the first two but who really cares about changing the name back. Admittedly it may bring in more players who serch minecraft hunger games but still.

 

I agree with the name change, but I'm not really sure how I feel about changing the wait time. The whole problem with changing the wait time is that games won't get as many players, which I don't think is a very good thing. I'd say either remove or buff all the useless kits.

 

The great thing about this is that one change will likely affect another, for instance the name change could bring in the amount of players needed where we could afford to lower the wait times.

 

I do agree, but the wait times have to remain since there aren't an abundance of players .

 

When you google ''Minecraft Hunger Games'' brawl isnt on the first side, altough it should be since its the only server with hunger games

many ppl are content with the game wait times and that can be lowered when we have more ppl. saying that we need more ppl. i cannot stress enough how important this name change thing really is. THE LAST HUNGER GAMES MOVIE COMES OUT IN 3 MONTHS!!!!! lionsgate wont notice until "Brawl HUNGER GAMES" has tons of hype/players, and as soon as this movie comes out the whole world will be hyped around "Hunger Games". people will be joining this game not even knowing what it is, but joining cause it has the words "Hunger Games". if you need evidence that ppl will join notice how HG became huge in 2012 which was right after the first Hunger Games movie came out. and maze runner back on mcpvp actually had quite a large player-base after that, not as hyped, maze runner movie came out

In my opinion, the wait times do seem unnecessarily long - 30 minutes is quite excessive.
I remember checking out HG when the transition first took place, and there were about 12 maximum in a server, however when i went in yesterday, it had around 80. I would say that this is a significant improvement. Judging by what I have seen (since i am quite active, this is substantial i feel) HG has grown in recent weeks and months. The new movie is sure to bring in an influx of potential player - however they may not come here. This is what needs to be done i feel: Someone needs to get into contact with Lionsgate's representatives and express the desire to change back the name and come up with an argument for our case as well as how it is legally acceptable. Secondly, there needs to be some sort of advertisement in place when the movie comes out and there is hype. A small, but well placed advertising campaign in certain places should accomplish this fairly easily (I should know, I have studied this and continuing to do so), and in doing so, draw a crowd of players. Finally, we need to keep them here through the use of staff and players in creating a good environment as well as setting up certain events and the like immediately after the films release, meaning that it will demonstrate that HG is not simply playing game after game.

I agree with the Time change. People only get on when the timer is close to starting, Changing it to 10 minutes won't be a problem. Also the name change won't be a problem anymore, Hunger Games series is over. No more hype from the average consumer so that shouldn't be a problem. Add ELO and ranks.
