Predictions of Brawl

Even if McPvP never came here, we'd still have as many rants as we do now.

 

I don't think it will exist in 6 months-1 year.

 

It's really tough to tell right now. There is certainly a lot of tension within the community, especially between players and higher staff. There are rants plastered all over the forums, mostly either about War 2.0, staff corruption, the McPvp merge, or the sh*ttiness of the community. People are unhappy about sh*t. When people are unhappy, they tend to be prone to doing rash things. If someone presses the wrong button it could set off a riot. Remember last October when certain staff started bending the rules on WarZ and sitting in the same teamspeak channel all day, and remember the outrage and soon after mass censorship that followed? Yeah, not our brightest moment.

I'm not Chaploo so I have no idea how well Brawl is doing financially. Assuming we're doing well there and we can keep the community together, Brawl should be around for quite a long time. However if the community falls into chaos again, depending on the nature/magnitude of that chaos, how the the admins handle it could determine whether the community is saved, or Brawl goes down the sh*tter.

 

IF they can't keep current members and attract future members I see it going down. It'll be a death spiral that will take time. This is a poorly managed server and not one that feels like it is professionally run.

It'll probably limp along and then die a long excruciating death with 2.0 still not being released.

People will just move on to other things.

 

I mean I have known people who loved Brawl and were complete addicts and now they have all gone. Most of my old friends are gone. I'm even starting to leave. I think Brawl is going to be gone in a year.

 

I'd be still waiting for War 2.0

 

Meh. One way or another it's going to have to end. Whether or not it's within a year is debatable.

I don't know. Chap had a whole lot of big projects planned - I'm referencing his thread about the future of Brawl here - so maybe we'll see some really interesting things in the next few months, or nothing at all.

 

if mcpvp survived as long as it did then brawl is gonna last ages

 

i pretty much left brawl, so i think since im not the only one, brawl will be dead within a year or so
