This has been broached before. It's not really in the community's power. It's Chap's choice to increase money on unban or remove them all-in-all.

 

Hey, it's more money for the servers. Let them buy unbans if they want.
Now that being said, we do need a slightly better unban system.

 

We should simply do like alot of other servers. 2 or 3 unban per player.

 

My opinion is similar to that of Lallier. After 3 unbans have been purchased, the offending player is blocked from the 'Purchase Unban' buycraft page. As you can see above, most players buy 3 or 4 unbans anyway, so there isn't a great loss of money occurring, but players on that 'final warning' may realise they need to stop.

 

Woundwart was banned 11 times? 11 TIMES!?!?!? How doesn't he learn his lesson?

 

Yeah, I didn't really consider Woundwart in my little statistic there. But I can tell you that due to Wound's constant rule-breaking, Putty has actually been in contact with him on TS, and has issued him some warnings. So we shall see where the Woundwart saga goes from there.

 

JIMS got banned almost three times in the same day. I talked with kcl and the rest of his team. They were all banned previously for hacking (Aimbot, No Knockback, XRay, etc.) and were basically blowing off the admins. All of them bought unban almost immediately after they were banned. The way MPS deals with hackers is inefficient, as said hackers never, and I mean never learn their lessons. Either the unban fee needs major tweaking (E.G. price doubles every purchase) or it needs to be taken out altogether.

 

Hmmm, that's an interesting idea. The price of unban is increased after each purchase. That has never crossed my mind before :V

I know the total amount they were banned, but I was talking about in the same day. Btw, Woundwart got banned 11 times? Um. . .what?

 

if you look on two of the bans they were duped the same day becuase a admin did it on accident look at some of the bans/dates and disrespecting players shouldnt be a bannibal thing "Hacked client" Me glitching out of mc-war map :3

 

I'd say a maximum of 2 unbans per player, but I don't know if Chickenputty wants to change it.

They may have their reasons, but one could almost compare it to taking bribes. There needs to be a point in the system where they say "enough is enough", and vaporize the defendant with a ban hammer. McPvP use the system of pricey unbans to great effect.
