Please don't kill the new-comers

Normally if they can't figure out how to get out of spawn without dying they leave very quickly and are not long-term members. They probably all go to party looking for some budder (sky).

 

Saying survival is dying off is false. I remember back when it first came out it was impressive to reach over 50 players. At one point about 25 people played at one given time. Now survival averages around 25o+ active players a day. There was a point not too long ago where more people played, but to say survival is dying off is an exuberant claim.

 

all the pvp happens in south, so they can just go north, east, or west.

 

I do agree we should have some sort of help system to aid new players. The only problem is the time it takes to make something like that.

 

PvP is not dying - I have been playing from the start and I know it has increased in popularity a lot since then. Getting up to 120 players frequently on some days. And I agree with bass about the help thing. When players join for the first time, they should get messages giving a brief intro to the server, and about its plugins etc, then links to the wiki so people can learn everything they need to. Frankly, I think advertising the wiki should be one of the auto broadcaster messages - A LOT of people have no idea the wiki is there.

 

I made a whole letter with info on how to play, how to report hackers, what all the team ranks are and the Serrano commands. I try to help as much people as I can while I'm online, but when I'm sleeping it's the play time of the Americans with is probably your time zone. (I just copy and paste in the text)

Here is the list I got on my second screen:
/sell instructies: do /sell and click the item in your inventory that you want to sell. next follow the info on chat.

/team setrank instructies: Do /team setrank {name} {rank}. the ranks are: manager, member and geust.

/team invite instucties: Do /team invite {name}.

/team set/delwarp instructies: Do /team delwarp/setwarp/warp {name}. setwarp is to put a warp and delwarp is to delete a warp.

/withdraw/deposit instructies: do /deposit {amount gold} or /withdraw {amount gold}.the gold has to be in your inventory.

How to start instructies: Walk out of spawn or do /random and play like normal survival!

Hackers: Record the hacker using it and upload it to youtube. next do /report {name} {link video}.

/Home insctructies: Do /home set to set your home, and do /home remove to remove your home.

Warping instructies: Do /warp set {name} to set a warp, do /warp remove {name} to remove a warp.

 

Lol and how is that going to be possible?

Heres how it works - If your not good enough to get out of spawn and get good stuff, then your not a good enough survival player. You should be able to get full P4 armour within.... 2 hours of starting - if your trying. (Don't tell me its not possible, I did it in 1:54 at the start of 1.8)

 

I think that Survival Pvp should at least add a /instuction option or something that can help begginners so they will know what to do and not die all the time because its obvious that no one is kind enough to help them. I have tried helping some but it gets to the point there is to many. I am sad that i couldnt help the ones i could but i still think they need to add a helpful way to help begginners.

 

My kdr would have been so much better if I read and knew the basics of survival pvp. I was a big noob at the start of 1.8, i had 1400 deaths and 50 kills at Febuary 2015. After march, i started using /random and /home, and I only got my acct in 2013. I didn't know much about multiplayer.

I still don't have p4, but I gained 1.6k kills and gained 6oo deaths. I know 600 deaths are really bad, but you guys were prepared before the restart. I know I'll be.

 

Ye, I do agree there should be some sort of introduction when u join for the first time, telling you about the plugins, and how it works. Also links to the wiki.
