    When we come across the word Art, we think of the diverse range of talents that humans can make from drawings, sounds, etc etc. I'd like your opinions on which of the two you would prefer. Visual art such as painting on a canvas or sculpting a statue made of marble or on the other side, Musical art that can be vocally sung or played by an instrument. Do you prefer visuals or music in art?

    For myself, I lean very very heavily towards to side favoring Music. As a kid whos been playing piano for 6-7 years now, I'm familiar with classic pieces composed by the masters themselves such as Bach, Chopin, and more recently played Czernzy. I do not choose only instrumental to listen to but other genres like electronic, vocaloid, rock, etc etc but not pop music (because American pop sucks :333). Still learning more about music theory and performing on the piano to this day, I will always prefer musical art over visual.

    Only reason why I said that last sentence is because of my level in drawing compared to everyone else. If you were to ask me to draw a person, my result would make you wanna wash out your eyes in the bathroom. I can't draw. You should see my files I saved from Paint.exe.

    Art to me is something that's open ended, that can be molded, and is not just existing as it is.
    Paintings and sculptures, while being open ended, does not speak to me as much as music does.

    Something that can fully evoke both mind and heart, but doesn't set them upon a course to one conclusion, is art to myself.

    There are songs from the greats, and from the newer era, that no matter how much I listen to them, can constantly evoke my mind into their chords.

    Honestly, go with what you like.
    I myself have been pushing my personal skills in producing music, but it isn't anywhere yet. Probably because I can't sing and don't play any instruments.

    In terms of visual stuff, you can do whatever you want with that.

    Heavily passionate about music. I would love to learn to play guitar (electric or acoustic).

    Oh, and if you want to include other arts, I would edit your poll and throw in drama/acting and writing too. These art forms are very prevalent in our culture today and are appreciated by many.

    For an art I would probably also choose the musical part. But your question was sight or sound so definitely sight. :grinning:
