Guys, let's be real here. What happened in Paris and other parts of the world from terrorism is beyond tragedy. However, many of us take for granted the other tragedies that occur around our planet each day that we do little about. We need to start paying attention and sending our thoughts and prayers to everyone that doesn't get enough of them.

 

Other countries get bombed by the US and other dominant countries all the time but when it happens to Paris it suddenly is relevant in the news.

Some people already touched on this, but the primary reason press attention is focused there is because the press we watch focuses on what people will want to pay attention to. Plenty of people from first world countries visit/reside in Paris, but not-so-much the other places you described. If you focus on media produced in third-world countries, you'll find that they don't focus so much on Paris, and instead on local happenings. However, their content/media is usually not as popular among nations of the first world, and instead gets discussed where it is more relevant, that specific country/its neighbors.

Reasoning: Watched Russian/Ukrainian Television focus on the Ukrainian Crisis for a year and ignore other EU/US happenings when it was only discussed briefly in EU/US based television.

You realize you stated "another fight between rival gangs." The reason why it isn't posted is because of the severity of it. It's not like they were innocent, what happened in this situation (Paris) was that they were innocent.

Terrorists are taught death not life, they are taught hate not love, and worst of all they are taught evil instead of good.

 

Paris was not the only one having a disaster on Friday (Japan had a natural disaster, a few other countries had terrorist attacks).
