Idea Crates

    Hello everyone,

    Most large servers I have seen have some sort of crate system in which you require a key to open a chest to recive a random prize. Why doesn't brawl have this? This would be especially fun on the survival server. The keys could be bought in the shop or included as an option for a vote reward. Since survival isn't viewed as a "high profit server", this would be a way to increase the value of having survival pvp. I believe the price is generally $2 per key. From a players perspective, having a way to gamble and gain prizes would be fun and add some variety to the server.

    Some prizes could be:

    Common: Gold, diamonds, iron, emeralds, obsidian, spawn eggs etc.
    Rare: OP gear/tools, gapples, wither heads, etc.
    Ultra Rare: Ranks? Extra warps?

    Even though this would ruin the vanilla feel, it would increase the profit/ votes of survival pvp and would increase the fun.

    I feel like we should have two servers implemented (Vanilla with warps, and Semi Vanilla mcPVP servers)
    although that can never happen

    For survival this would be sorta neat, but an overall hub system is what I want :3.

    This would take the "Vanilla" aspect away from Survival PvP.
    I can see this being implemented in our factions server though.

    I agree, but this would be similar to the voting rewards. They won't remove voting because it profits brawl. Would this not be the same case? Or would this be too much?

    I consider loot crates as kits, you can get them every time because of the voting cool down and just farm items like with kits, it would be great in the faction server because you can farm items there already, but I don't think it's something for survival pvp.

    Also for factions - I think it would be cool if they also had chests randomly scattered around 500x500 area that reset every now and again - and contain thinks like... Obsidian, diamonds, enderpearls etc.

    (ik this is a bit off topic - just saying cause people mentioning factions)

    I like the idea. It should be better if you can buy key for like 120 tokens.

    I dont think it a good idea. The main point of Surival is to keep things vanilla.

    Voting is to help out the server and you don't get such big rewards for it. Crates are just pure made for factions and that's it. Survival PvP is about gathering stuff instead of buying stupid keys to get op stuff in one day. For example: Some people on Survival PvP join for the first time and then they buy a rank instantly because they think it gives kits and such. This is all just ruining Survival PvP.

    You could just get the same rewards as voting, making it no different. This, similar to voting, helps the server. The keys could be attainable through purchase or acquiring "x" amount of vote tokens. I think this would balance it out to voting.

    If the rewards would be the same as voting, then what's the whole point of it? Then you can get stuff free or you pay for it. Wouldn't really work isn't it.

    It wouldn't be that much different than voting. This would be cool because it is more fun to get a random prize. Perhaps there could be another perk of doing this, just as long as it is balanced.

    So basically, you pay $2 for a key that will give you a random price from voting or a perk which does something we don't know yet. I wouldn't know someone spending their money on it. I just doesn't feel like such a good thing to add.

    people should pay so staff can fix this good laugh of a server

    and for people that say it would ruin the vanilla pair, grow a sack and suck it up

    I personally like the idea a lot but I only think you should be able to buy them with vote tokens and not real money since that'd make it pay to win. But it'd be really fun if added!
