    Hey everyone, pudding scrub RMST1 here.
    You all know the fun shoutbox to talk to each other, the profile pages, in the replies in threads and in the Private Discussion. All of these things are made to talk to each other on the forums.
    Although, I do think there should be something added.

    The idea was to add / improve the Private Discussion section. In this section, you have to go to the forums or reload the page to see if this player that you were talking to has replied. Maybe there could be something ( I do not know if this is possible or needed ) that immediately shows the message without reloading the page.

    Is this possible?

    Is this needed?

    Tell me in a reply.

    I don't really get what you want here aya scrub :v? Do you want a more improve shoutbox? More private? I like the idea Of a more improved shoutbox But I don't thing this should be added, The current shoutbox doesn't have so much attention, So a new improved shoutbox would be good, Maybe a entire own section like media,forums members etc.?

    There were people who suggested things like these before, although in that thread they were talking about making their own groups with names and such. As much as I would like this I would have to go back to the classic answer, is it really worth it? There are plenty of platforms out there such as Skype, Slack, and Discord. Especially Slack and Discord, in Slack (don't know about Discord) you can make your own private channel and invite other people and chat with them. It's basically the same concept, we shouldn't go through all the trouble just to make this extra feature that's already available in other platforms. Also considering that most XenPhoro plugins like these cost money. But I know what you're saying, and it is cool, but you can just do it elsewhere rather than this forum.

    I've been on a Xenforo Minecraft forum and they had instant messaging, and it was amazing.

    Definitely worth it

    I guess it's most likely possible with some kind of plug-in you can buy from xenforo, but is it really necessary? I doubt it to be honest.
    I mean, as far as it goes, the current private messaging system is more or less instant itself despite the fact you have to strenuously navigate your cursor to the top of the page to hover over the notification box. All in all, not a bad suggestion, but I don't see it as a necessity.

    How to have instant private messaging:

    Step 1: Open minecraft
    Step 2: Hop on brawl.com lobby
    Step 3: /msg <username> [message]
    Step 4: (after user replies) /r [message]\
    Step 5: Repeat 'Step 4'

    Alternatively use Skype/Teamspeak
