AMA Ask me stuff (Doges)

I handle a lot of stuff on the building side of things here at brawl, and I also moderate the servers.

Feel free to ask me anything (reasonable), but try and keep questions more serious. If you aren't comfortable asking something in public, PM me.

Yes and No. "Dying" and "dead" are pretty big terms to use, and I think that it's an overstatement to say that for the server when there's clearly more than 10 people on at peak times. "Dying" also says that the server pretty much won't be up in a few months, which I don't think will happen. I think the correct term to use would be "declining", and even that term only applies to certain gamemodes. Yes, some gamemodes have had their playercounts drop, such as WarZ. However, others have only been increasing, such as MinecraftBuild. When build was released, it struggled to reach 40 players. Now, its at a steady 100+. Looking at brawl in general, I think its in pretty good shape. There's always going to be more people on in the summer, and I'd have to wait until that time frame to really see if playercounts dropped. Unfortunately, I haven't been around long enough to get information regarding playercounts 1-2+ years ago, so maybe that's why people overract and say "BRAWL IS DEAD!!1!".

A) My honest opinion is that you're one of the most relaxed people I've ever met. Seriously, I like how you interact with the community is really pleasant to see. You definitely deserved staff again, and I'm glad to see the pink (get rid of the flesh award tho). Oh, and you should stop changing your username so much, I really liked MrCowlick.

B) The most frustrating thing is when I have to explain actions of someone else. I can explain a lot about why I personally did something, but it's annoying when I have to explain something in regards to someone else. This is especially annoying if I disagree with something such as a video, and have to explain to the other person (who is most likely banned) the reasoning behind another mod's ban. This is made even worse with how anonymous the system has become (example: you can't see who resolved your appeal) since I get blamed for performing an action (ex: denying a report).

Accepting/Denying apps is a pretty interesting thing to do. It can get annoying if someone's bugging me nonstop about how they plan to apply or something, but I don't mind the occasional reminder. The whole process feels weird at first, but then it becomes easy as I know what I'm looking for specially. As for part 2, it sucks having to deny people you know personally. The feeling of denying a friend for something is bad, and it feels like you let that person down. As far as denying random people, it really doesn't bug me unless I know they were close or just missing one little thing. In that case, I try and point out heavily what that little thing was so that they can do better next time.
