tips:protect your map from greifers

    i think guys map is confused about greifers because i have heard a lot of shout for helping to clear the lavas, etc.
    Today i will give some tips for your map's safe.



    1.you should not add people you don't trust.

    2.an easy way to protect rrom that, you can try ask strangers "will you greif ", or make some rules for "no greifing".

    3.if number 2 is still not work, try not add anyone to manager and say something about "if you greif you will get banned or removed member perm."


    i hope that 3 tips can help guys.

    huh, i still have 1 tips.
    when you want to do something like skin comp, try not make the winner's prize to perm.just you just add perm to a stranger.....
    if he or she greif.... then crap.:-I

    if you have more ideas, try to reply to make this thread more importent!

    if some random person joins your world and asks for perms, just immediately ban them and you'll be good

    well, i think just ban them is bit of.... rude?
    because maybe he or she just want to explore and ask for perm, you banned him/her, i get a little bit of confuse..
    i think just say no is a better way…:-I

    ^This one seems a little "off" because the player might say "I don't grief" but could turn out to be a griefer. There's really only one tip that can help people avoid griefers which would be to ONLY perm players you trust and this being said, I don't mean just anyone off your friends list since I have seen some situations where "friends" grief. There are those friends that you absolutely know you can trust and this is when you know you can perm them.

    I feel like they should add another rank (could be called 'Helper') or something which lets the player have perms on the map while the map owner is online but have no power to build when the owner is offline. This would decrease the chances of griefs. But I don't mean make all of the ranks this way, maybe just have one rank as this so there aren't too much restrictions.

    With my Map, I give people Member if I can trust them or an RP. But when I'm going to leave, I change them all to visitor. That way the only way to build on my world is if I am on and present on the world. This has helped stop any sort of griefing!

    That may be the case, but it's a matter of how serious you are about keeping your world safe. If you really want your world to be safe from griefers then that is what you need to do. There's no way around it besides not perming people you trust.

    Rule #2 is irrevelant; griefers will grief regardless if you want them to or not. It's pretty darn easy to lie if someone just asks you "Do you grief?"

    I reccomend if you value your map to not perm anyone who just wins a skin comp as others has said, but rather only be inclined to perm people you trust or are reassured do not grief (Such as Xelasi :smile: )
