Where did you learn to code java?

The key is to not give up, even if it gets boring. I attempted to learn twice before I actually decided it was something I wanted to stick with.

As for learning, the best answer I can give you is get some some books. They may not be as interactive as a video, but they're definitely more credible and accurate. YouTube videos are good as well, be sure to steer clear of anything that may be teaching bad practices.

 

I never really read through any real books or taken formal lessons. Instead, I taught myself Java by decompiling Minecraft and messing around with the language's constructs, and Googling things I didn't understand. I also lurked around a lot on GitHub and picked through code there. Eventually I just ended up trying to write my own plugin and made it work through a bit of trial and error.

I've found the best way to learn things is just to dive right in, as books on can get quite boring. I suggest you don't go the same route as me, though, since it's a ridiculously inefficient way to learn Java.

 

I just let it consume all my free time, because I'm that kind of person

 

I installed about 10 viruses on my old pc, learn to code from them.
