    Why Should I Help Dig That?
    Previous hole digs have proven to bring players closer together. Digging holes requires team work, dedication, and involves lots of social interaction during the passing of time. It'll also be an all time Mine Craft record, bringing LOADS of attention to the server.

    When Will it Start and When Will it be Finished?
    We'll start on the exact day that 1.9 comes out on Brawl's survival server. To simplify the math, I'll just let you know that we'll need 40,332 diamond pics and exactly 6,300 man hours (if 100% efficient) to remove the 63M blocks. It's very unlikely that we'll get through the 262.5 days without sleep. So we should have it finished a few hours before the server resets to 1.10.

    How Many People Should we get?
    Since there's an average of about 96 players on the server, I'd say use them all. That means it'd only require 2.74 100% efficient days per each person to finish the hole! That also means that each person would only need to provide 1,261 diamonds for pics, instead of the 120,996 that'd be needed for a single player to dig it.

    Gimme the picks and I'll make them Eff5 + A haste 2 Beacon which I will provide... = INSTA MINE! (on stone). Total time to complete... I'll leave Legal to do the maths!

    I have also personally seen Legal's 100x100 hole which he dug himself. If we got the whole server + eff5 pickaxes and beacons, its possible. Although the person who is time lapsing this... they gonna need at least 1 Million Terabytes of storage xD

    Ok, gonna make this easier.

    1) Pick an ocean biome and mop the overwater with sponges. Better yet, pick one with a ton of mines, caves, etc.

    2) Eff5 Unbr3 pick with a haste beacon is highly recommended. As for the gravel, same enchants on a shovel.

    3) Use the sell -> buy back glitch to reset the Prior Work penalties, and repair your stuff using 3-5 enchant levels.

    4) Start small- 100x100, then work the hole up to 200x200,etc. if you get bored or don't have time, it'll still be impressive.

    5) if you can make a creeper spawner next map, TNT is your friend.

    6) if someone can glitch in a command block, here's a solution:

    All you need to do is randomly scatter loot within the cube, then people will be digging it for you.

    I make about 800-1,000 gold per day on the server from autobrewed pots and low level armor. I'm sure I can do the same pretty quickly in 1.9.
