Chat Report Command

Chat Report Command

We've added a new command that will assist greatly in your ability to report rule breakers. That command being, "/chatreport <player> <reason>". This command will send the last 30 lines of a player's chat to the report system where a Moderator can evaluate it.

What this means is that if a player is breaking a chat rule (death threats, DDoS threats, major disrespect, advertising, etc) you may use this command to report them. In the past, we had to deny most screenshots submitted due to players being able to fake them. However with this command, chat reports can no longer be faked.

This command is quite major in assisting the staff to be able to keep the server chat clean when they are not present. We greatly appreciate your assistance in ridding the server of rule breakers. Keep in mind though, this command is for more severe violations. We still want you to try to gain the attention of a staff member (via /report, TeamSpeak, etc) if the player is just trolling or annoying everyone.

Head on over to our creative server creative.brawl.com and type in the command /warp contest followed by /plotme auto.

Then fill out the application below and post it on this thread when your build is finished:

In-Game Developer Rank
We've added a shiny, green name rank for Developers to have in-game. The rank is "DEV" and it allows the Developers to be distinguished from Administrators, as they previously were labeled.

Report Command Modification
In order for staff to be able to attend to the in-game reports better, we've made some modifications to the /report command. The command now requires you to type a player's name and message explaining what they are doing.

New Developer
@Ktar5 has joined the development team and will start working on Survival PvP as a good way to get situated with our libraries and styles.

HG Kit Rotation
Normal: Jellyfish, Glider, Phantom, Werewolf
VIP: Frozen, Snail, Viper
MVP: Endermage, Jackhammer, Madman, Shapeshifter, Thor
ELITE: All kits, as always

MC WAR STORY-
Survive

The unforgiving heat of the sun's rays beat down on the back of my neck. My breaths strained, raspy and dry, I slowly marched on the gravel. I just stared down at my shadow, my mind set on surviving this game. My comrade, @Lekosa1 , trudged along beside me. He knew this map well. Lekosa pulled out a device labeled TAB. "Looks like the root hasn't infected anyone yet" he said, putting it away. This got my hopes up; maybe this will be an easy match... But I knew it was too soon to be so optimistic. We were in the town of Favela, searching for a camping spot to stake out the night. Wouldn't want to come face to face with one of those ugly green infecteds out in the open, alone. "Here we are," Lekosa said, "and it looks like we're not alone". Crouching behind a large metal box was two teammates. As Lekosa put down his stuff to stretch, I pulled out my TAB. Five infecteds. With our mini guns, surviving the night will be no problem.

The sun was now setting, and I thought everything would be alright. I sat down, and relaxed. But then my TAB started buzzing. I looked down at it and saw the blue names of my teammates turning red, one by one. People were getting infected. fast. I turned towards Lekosa, who was also looking at his TAB. He looked up at me, with fear in his eyes. "They're gonna EMP". And then everything went black.

Gunshots. Screams. Explosions. My mini gun was blazing. I was blindly firing into one of the two entrances the zombies could get in through. Lekosa covered the other. Finally, the EMP wore off, but part of me wished it didn't. About fifty zombies crammed the tiny hallway, yearning for fresh meat. Their ugly faces oozing nasty slime. They collapsed, three at a time, bodies convulsing with each bullet I put in them. Blood was everywhere. "Leko! We can't stay here any longer! We have to go!" I screamed. "I know, but how?" I could barely hear him over the gun shots. I thought all hope was lost, but then an idea popped into my head. I lifted my finger off of the trigger, and ran towards Leko. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" He screamed. I ran past my two other comrades, crouched in the corner, frozen by fear. "Wh-what are you doing? Please don't leave us," one stuttered, face pale. I pushed Lekosa out of the way and planted a c4 right in front of him, in the middle of the horde of zombies. There was a blinding, deafening explosion. Lekosa seemed to know what I was thinking, and we sprinted through the smoke, out of the camping spot and into the crisp night air. Behind me, I heard the blood curling screams of the two decoys being eaten alive.

Adrenaline pumped through me as I ran, feet pounding on the gravel, taking me in any direction that isn't here. I looked back at the horrific scene of infecteds piling into the hallway, searching for the corpses. I looked down at my watch without stopping and saw that there were only 10 seconds left in the game. 10 seconds until Leko and I were safe again in the lobby. Though it seemed impossible after what we went through, I looked back at him and grinned. "We did it. We survived." Leko was about to say something when an infected grabbed him from behind and sank its teeth into his shoulder. He screamed, but was immediately cut off when everything went black, and I automatically teleported to the lobby. I just stood there, face blank. The soldiers who were awaiting the next round looked back at me. I was covered in blood, my eyes were filled with fear, and my hands were shaking. Collapsing to my knees, I cursed the world. I pounded the ground with my fists, ignoring the pain. I gritted my teeth, wondering why it was him who died. Why it wasn't me.

But then someone teleported in behind me. I turned around, tears in my eyes. I could barely make out who it was the the blurriness. But I would never mistake that duck bill for someone else. It was Lekosa. My mouth opened. My jaw trembled as I tried to form words but none would come out...

Answer to the trivia question: depends. I know chap used to be part of mcpvp but he eventually broke off and created Brawl, so technically all of the gamemodes was inspired by HG. However, for a non-loophole answer I think it was team hunger games. I remember a post mentioning it somewhere...

The first HG gamemode brawl had was that kit one if I remember. Players would chose a kit like builder and when used it would build a castle for them etc.
