RIP BRAWL MOJANG FINALLY CRACKING DOWN ON P2W SERVERS

    Hi,

    Numerous server admins have recently been receiving emails from '[email protected]', regarding their purchases available from their websites being against the terms laid out in the EULA.

    The emails specifically state that all servers must be in accordance with https://account.mojang.com/terms#brand and https://account.mojang.com/terms#commercial.

    They then list out all issues they find with the server, their suggested fixes, and give you 7 days to respond stating that you are going to comply, otherwise legal action may follow.

    Both of the emails that I have personally seen have come from the same Mojang Brand Enforcement Agent, 'Brandon Andersson'.

    My first reaction was to think that an email spoofing service had been used, as emails are scarily easy to fake, but after analysing the headers of multiple of these emails, they all point to being legitimate. The ISP that the emails originated from is the ISP that Mojang uses, and many online email address validators see the address as valid. I've spent quite a while looking through these headers, and nothing appears out of the ordinary.

    Mojang have semi-recently acquired an entire team of Brand Enforcers, as seen here, https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/331367-employees.

    Around this time last year Mojang started cracking down on 'Minecraft clones' on mobile app stores that used assets from the game, and now it appears they are closing in on server admins that don't follow the EULA.

    Just thought I'd share that with y'all. How's Brawl gonna get their money without 11 year olds being pushed to donate to play.

    A lot of these servers aren't P2W
    • Hardcore games - Skill
    • Survival PvP - Skill
    • Warz - Skill
    • Skywars - Skill
    • CTF - Skill
    • War - Most of it is Skill
    I have played on a lot of these servers and most of them are NOT P2W.
    I can see you saying the ray gun in War being P2W, buuuut thats it... all that I can think of. Ranks aren't P2W, though I hate some of the advantages they give, they are priced high, but no where near P2W.

    gr8 antoher fan boy gonna fight tooth and nail to say the servers arent pay to win, truth is they are. You can get a OP gun on Mc-WarZ that pretty much feeds on Scav. Theres your pay to win.

    Just because it is possible to play without donating doesnt give it a free pass from the Eula laws. If you're murder someone and say, 'well it's possible for him to turn around and kill me instead so I should get a free pass' So go to school, learn what laws are, then come back here and tell me that Brawl is abiding by the Eula laws

    I keep stating to just vote every day and use the won money
    War: don't need to donate to play, it just helps
    Warz: Not pay to win in any way besides tps
    CTF: The free classes are really good. Just learn to master them
    Party: Fair
    HG: Fair
    Kitpvp: Fair
    Survival Pvp: Fair

    I can make sure this is not a P2W server, youu just need the enough skills to be good. In Warz i have take down multiple donators, even if im a whitename.
    What happens is that they basically get rewarded for donating some money on the server, and the complete fair.

    Lol I just found a loophole. All Brawl has to do is to make it so that if someone purchases a donator rank, everyone gets a benefit. For example: If a VIP joins a HG game, everyone can respawn during the first 10 seconds of the game if you get killed.

    Pay to win is a novel idea....

    But there are people out there with real skill. I don't see how Eula enforcement changes how the server makes additional cash flow?

    so you think that MCWar is P2W huh

    try these out, no scav required

    M1887 / executioner
    Isolater / python
    Skullcrusher / executioner (rush with this, don't camp)

    Sure scav is good if you're trying to nuke, but it's easy to nuke with a M1887 instead of camping with scavenger and skullcrusher like most people do lol.

    and if you're <lvl31
    B50C / deagle is amazing
    AK / M9 is also pretty dope.

    Btw guys, Mojang didn't change the EULA because they don't want p2w servers. They changed it because they were constantly getting emails from stupid parents complaining about how their kid spent $150 on some stupid minecraft server for a pet.

    Please don't comment on things you don't actually know about. A good amount of the MCCTF Premium classes are absurdly unbalanced. Oh, and by the way, pay2win is to be defined as "something that can only be earned through purchase that gives an edge in gameplay." As all MCCTFers know, each class is better at different roles. By locking access to a class (and therefore a role), it is pay2win.

    Do none of you realize that mojang doesn't give a rats butt about fairness? If you can buy an item that changes the game in a non-cosmetic way, they will shut you down.

    You can't make money off of minecraft unless it's cosmetic server items or videos. The two exceptions here were the most recent change to the EULA. Before that, neither were allowed. It has NEVER been legal to sell, for example, CTF classes.

    However, this was never enforced. It seems to be that it is now.

    It's worth noting that Brandon Andersson was hired for "Brand Enforcement"

    I see that the apple has fell far from the tree for many of you. I couldn't get if you take a magical potion then beat your meat to a satanic ritual to give you powers to take down donators. It doesnt change the fact that you can have a benefit over other people by donating. Even if the benefit is tiny as your *****es it is still illegal

    Why is p*nis censored lol it's the scientific name for ding dong

    Finally someone that understands how to world works. Someone actually understanding something. props to Sir_inge

    Doesnt matter if it's fair are if it's balanced or whatnot, the fact remains that you can use money to purchase things to gain an advantage
