Syrian Refugee Crisis in Europe

I also know a refugee who goes to my school. I met him in my engineering class and he's really cool. And I completely agree when you say that a group of people does not represent the whole population. People are just ignorant because they have an image implanted in their minds that these refugees are all terrorists.

 

Alright. Real quick, we should cover some basic facts. 0.0002% to 0.0003% of refugees turn out to do terrorist acts or to be connected to a terrorist group. The FBI has released a report covering percentages of terrorist attacks on American soil. 6% of all terrorist attacks on American soil have been due to Islamic extremism. Guess what sort of religious extremism ranks above it? You guessed it, 7% Jewish extremism. Beyond unwarranted fear of a refugee gone terrorist, one may claim that they harm the economy. To arrive at such an invalid claim is absurd and evident of a person who does not know much about economics much at all. First off, more people create a greater demand for domestic product, which is always great for a country's GDP (which, despite being mostly irrelevant in determining the true success of a country, is something that is still used nevertheless), circulation of money, and the keeping of money and value in one's own country. Now, how about those damn refugees and immigrants taking your jobs? Once again, such a belief is evident of one's absolute ignorance of basic economics. According to the theory of NAIRU (Non-Accelerating Inflation Rate of Unemployment), under a Capitalist economy, the unemployment rate will always remain at a certain rate (the NAIRU) which is usually around 4.5% to 6.5%. The only way a refugee or immigrant would be able to steal your job would be if a higher percentage of immigrants and refugees got employed than existing citizens. If this hasn't been drilled into your head hard enough yet, have a diagram.

The best solution is to stop the crisis at its source, by ending the war in Syria as soon as possible. Then everyone can go back to their homes and we can all be happy.

If only certain countries with certain agendas weren't being so detrimental to the peace process...

 

Peace is expensive, just saying.

Where do you get your facts.the 30-50years prediction is often based on a believe of an exponential increase of the amount of refugees. And the amount of new refugees cant simply increse at some point.

And russia's bombing... Not isis.... Russia dosnt want to se a united europe. Thats an additional reason for russia to bomb.... Again.... Not isis

@Vincz Let me tell you are wrong, muslims are the people who belive in the islam, if you don't belive in Islam you won't turn into a Muslim. Plus I highly doubt that the whole EU will turn muslim...

I don't believe Muslims are taking over, and, like you, I don't believe we should abandon these people either.

But, I would like to say that if Muslims were to "take over" so to speak, it would indeed be a bad thing. Are you even aware of what Sharia law is?
