    "Minecraft has been updated to 1.9! It contains a lot of changes. Most remarkably, the combat mechanics have been updated to make fighting more interesting and offer more map-making options. Here’s a almost complete list of the new and changed features:

    • Added shields
    • Attacking now has a “cool-down” delay, making it more important to time your attacks
    • You can now hold items in both hands (default quick key to swap items is ‘F’)
    • Swords have a special sweep attack
    • Axes have a special crushing blow attack
    • Added the elytra
    • New mob: Shulker
    • Expanded The End
    • Added Chorus plants
    • New Purpur blocks
    • New End Rod block
    • Added dragon head block
    • Ender Dragon can be resummoned
    • Added beetroot and beetroot soup (from MC:stuck_out_tongue:E)
    • Added grass path block
    • Added igloos
    • Armor protection values have been lowered
    • Added tipped arrows
    • Added spectral arrows
    • Added Frost Walker enchantment and frosted ice block
    • Added a whole bunch of new sound effects
    • Added sound effect subtitles
    • Brewing Stand now requires Blaze Powder to activate
    • Added skeleton riders
    • We believe we’ve fixed MC-10 and a whole bunch of other issues
    • Removed Herobrine"

    I'm fine with everything else apart from the pvp related updates. Duel wielding is okay but cool downs on sword hits? RIP.

    I agree, but in my point Eleyctra is just unacceptable. Oh ya my f key is set to my optifine zoom :l

    Will mc-war update to 1.9???? Poison cbow. hue hue.

    i think they should, but the arrows would have to cost $3

    Set it to Z, easier to remember.

    I like most changes in 1.9. I'm not a huge PvP person, but I definitely see Brawl going really far with 1.9. Can't wait to see what we have planned.

    The only thing you have to do in Minecraft 1.9 is to headshot and do crits with your sword, or just run around and bow spam.

    Ew, that poll though. >:V Why so extreme? :V I'm just going to treat "I completly agree with mojang" as a more mild "Yes." I love a lot of things about it. The pvp is ok, and could use some fine tuning though... Shields are the most OP things ever and the bow is completely broken it's so OP. They nerfed the armor and swords, but missed the bow entirely. >:V See here for my mini-rant on the bow. :V

    could not have worded it better myself

    I love the update and everything about it except for the pvp... If only someone made a plugin to get rid of the delay and the other garbage.
