Do you guys like 1.9?

I think it's okay, the only real problem is the PvP part, which many coders, even intermediate ones like I can change and revert back to normal.

Other than that most of the features can be seen in usual mods, but some of them are really cool. I just scratched the server because I thought it wasn't worth the trouble keeping up-to-date.

 

As long as shields and the cooldown is removed, I'm fine with it.

 

It doesn't feel like minecraft to me. I've grown up knowing soup pvp, jitter clicking, and OP sharpness enchantments. This just seems to be a little too... realistic?

 

Shields no cool down YES PLEASE MOJANG PLEASE GET RID OF COOLDOWN

 

This is the dumb part: PvPers requested that you couldn't spam click anymore, and now all the PvPers are complaining that you can't spam click... (Just saying)
But yeah, the cool down needs to be removed.

 

1.9 is fantastic. I love it for the most part. Like waffle said, the cool down is easy to remove, and shields can also be removed from crafting. Apart from that, I think this is one of the best updates yet.

It is currently unknown to us whether or not the developers will be switching over to all of 1.9, part of it, or not any of it at all. They haven't come to a sound conclusion yet, but when they do we will be sure to let everyone know!

 

You can actualy block but not with a sword and you can now block with a shield witch makes more sense

I like just about everything in 1.9. The elytra are amazing! I'm torn on the pvp though. On the one hand, it seems to actually take skill no instead of low ping, but this is both a blessing and a curse. Oh, and the bow is stupidly OP now due to the armor nerfs. I was playing with a friend, and he took me down in full d by just spam-shooting. That wouldn't have done anything before 1.9! It was ridiculous! >:V It's funny how they completely forgot to balance the bow. It literally does almost twice am much damage to player wearing armor than it did before. To a player wearing full D, a fully charged bow (no enchantments) does 3.32 damage. It used to do 1.8! >:V With full iron, it now does 5.22 damage instead of 3.6! You might think that this doesn't make that much of a difference, but believe me, it does. Try it out yourself. If a player has a bow and the other doesn't, the player with the bow will win (if they can aim of course) just about no matter what regardless of armor and weapons. And before it's mentioned, no, shield don't make that much of a difference against a bow. You are slowed when using it, and even if you're at close range, the bow user will just spam and hit you away before you can melee them. >:V

 

Apparently a feather now has a cooldown in 1.9, because tickle power is op.
