How to analyze a mod application

Again, its not all about the posts. Do a bit of research on their thread posts. Look at their contributions. Decide if they're someone who actually gives a damn about the community. Myself, I was rather inactive, but I eventually turned that well around. The majority of votes no, aside from my own #Tac42Life, were because of my lack of posts. Id been a member for quite some time prior. Just rather a wallflower than someone sitting at the table.

Edit- Since then, Ive found a small home at the forums. And a rather active community on TS as well. Venom, Gigga and I will be working on a music video for MPS. Featuring Putty as backup vocals. Im a bit of a rapper and well, the community is alot more than just the servers offered. Its getting to know your fellow gamers, and providing a bit of asylum for us all.

I only bother to read it if there's more than 150 posts. Any less is an auto deny.
As long as spelling and grammar are acceptable, it's fine. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it needs to be taken seriously.
Moderator experience is very necessary. MPS is not a noob server where moderator is a position for inexperienced players.
Must have a good idea on how to conduct moderator business. Banning, locking, etc.
Must be an original application, no copy and paste, and no paraphrasing other people's answers.

Couldn't have said this better myself. The only thing I could add to this is that you should also go into detail about how you would contribute to the server. This is a major part if the Application in my opinion, for it shows us what you hope to accomplish as a Moderator. Well said, Cbsusd.

If they did it this way, then the community doesn't get a vote. That's not really Mc-War's style. They are very open to their communities opinions, so the Moderator Applications are public. You have to prove not only to the Staff, but also to the community that you are fit for the position.

 

The server contribution is a very important part. Thank you.

I think that this is the most logical subforum, because it is on topic, and it's not a moderator application, so this is probably the best place to put it!

Well, I, for one, think it would be alright to have it here. I think I'll live (but only barely) if it's in here. Although I do agree, community would have been a better subforum.
