It's when you program a key sequence into your mouse or keyboard that makes you shoot your guns/eat/both faster than you normally would be able to in a fight. Instead of switching to each gun individually and clicking each time, you only have to press one button (usually an extra one on the side of the mouse). They're also used to spam buttons and to say things instantly in chat, but both of those are allowed here.

Macro as an adjective means "large" and is generally used by people to describe something that is a larger sample than they normally would be speaking of (e.g. a scientist describing a colony as a "macro-colony")

A "macro" camera refers to one that is capable of taking in-focus pictures of objects very close to the lens.

I doubt it does, many mouse/software can do just that. You can even most probably do it in Minecraft settings. It's not against the rule.

 

No you can do that in-game in the control settings now, if I'm not mistaken.

 

It does not, it simply takes a recorded sequence of keys, for example 135, and plays it with the press of one button. Unfortunately, Thats why some people in WarZ setup their macros to combo their guns at the press of a button on their mouse.

 

For a easier explanation for you.
Macros will allow you to do certain things in milliseconds (less then a second) to achieve what in WarZ is called hotbar-macro. Which allows you to click every single hotbar item (1 - 9) in less then a second, basically you fire all your guns in milliseconds to kill the enemy in the game.

This is why they are not allowed in Brawl. They have the capability to many thing like what Piky said that give a huge and unfair advantage over other players.

 

Imagine how bad so many people would be if it weren't for macros, so many people use them and you can't even tell...

 

Yet lots of people still do it. It's a common thing that we humans love to do, achieve more power than others. In video games, we tend to show more of this by using anything that is best for us to use, stuff that isn't offered through Brawl's WarZ? Well, other methods from outside of Brawl is offered to bring in more power to those seeking it.

 

There is one. Us staff can see alerts when someone gets more than a certain amount if clicks per second.

If we may know, what is the certain limit of clicks? I'm fairly interested because I can naturally click extremely fast. It's not so useful during fights because of how I have to click for it to be fast...

 

Most good mouses have a button that changes the sensitivity in different levels. It is called DPI I believe

 

They don't give a huge advantage besides not needing to press your hotkeys, or scroll. I use my macros for nothing now, but when I did use them ... For the wrong purposes (gun macros) which you need to find the perfect delay to shoot your guns or it justs shoots one gun and not the other. For me, usually it makes my crosshairs flip out and my sensitivity turns really high (Razer mouse problems). Actual macro users, know what it's like besides there's no reason to use macros because you still have potential to shoot fast than macros.


Note : I didn't and haven't used macros since 2013 (before they set the delay). (Please if you are 2014 player, don't say "I know right".

Macros can be used for default sword pvping. Which can range from 10-999 cps. I've capped the hundreds, but it would be obvious if I was using macro for pvp (my head twitches a lot (Not that I know that) c
Though clicking in WarZ is kind of pointless now because of delay, but I was bad and I mean really bad because I clicked till I realised holding was better.

 

As Jaet said, this would be very over powered IF they were able to be used on Brawl. Mostly War and WarZ. In war, if you have a primary gun and a secondary gun,having macros would give you an unfair advantage over the other plays by basically one shooting them in you get what I'm saying. Now, in WarZ macros give the most unfair advantage anybody has ever seen. In WarZ the combo Barret, Spas, M10 will kill a full diamond in a second. Now think about macroing the Barret, Spas, M10 to kill a full diamond in milliseconds while the person you are fighting still has to combo the normal way.isnt that unfair? I think so.

Wait can I get banned because I have one of the side buttons on my deathadder binded to changing the dpi from 500-1000 when I am 180 turning. Can I get banned?

 

Honestly I don't see why so many people need them. Hotkeying works like a charm.
