MineStrike 2016 Competition?

I think this competition is a great idea, but the MineStrike player base is at a really low count. The most players I've seen online is about 15. At this point in time this event wouldn't be very fun just becaus of the small player base.

There isn't really a community around MineStrike- still surprises me that Brawl keeps it as a gamemode.
It's outdated, a poor representative of CounterStrike, and just not very popular in general.

Brawl needs to dedicate time in focusing in other servers that have statistically shown potential.
The community cannot grow while the most influential servers, namely WarZ & War, are outdated or broken, whereas even if they fixed up Minestrike.. nobody would really be intrigued by it (definitely not by CSGO players)

I could go in to a lot more about the above subject, but to keep it short, even if Brawl decided to do an event on MineStrike, it would feel forced, be a poorly made event, with little effort put into it, as none of the current admin or community managers would want to invest time into it.


Look at the URL and the signs in this picture, this let alone is enough support to my claim that Minestrike is not something that should be focused or recognized as a 'Brawl Quality' server. In my personal opinion, it's just a waste of server space just kind of collecting dust at this point.

 

Minestrike might as well be removed right now. Although I'd like some sort of 2016 competition, the player base is terrible. Just remove it and replace it with something new.

"Ive been on with almost 60 players, the maximum the servers can hold". When was this? Was it recent? Because the most I see now-a-days is 11.

 

Mine-strike might have a better player-base if they updated the server and made it a bit more like cs:go by allowing you to change your loadout for different guns in the buy menu, more maps, etc.

If they keep neglecting the game-mode then it will just be a waste of space and time to keep on the server.

I would love to see an update although it's highly unlikely.

 

No.. it's not that easy. Nobody wants to touch the code of MineStrike because everything could break by adding one feature. I love MineStrike and would like to see an "update" but the code is just too old- they would need to recode MS and I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon.

Howsoever... a competition would be pretty cool in my opinion.

 

Orange spent like a week on it, if it was spent more time on it would probably become one of Brawl's most popular gamemodes due to CS:GO as the world's most popular shooter or whatever.

 

I would love to see a competition with minestrike; it would bring some players to it as there is an average of about 8 players online at once.

 

I would love to see another MineStrike tournament, since I didn't get to participate in the last one.

 

I'd support it honestly, though I think if you want to get more then the normal 24 players inside, I think you'd need to put up some form of prize at stake for the winning team.

 

No. A game like Counter-Strike can not be replicated in Minecraft. It just.. can't. All minecraft server representations of CSGO are absolutely terrible.

 

The last competition was a few weeks after it came out and we won

If there was a Contest I probably wouldnt join, I would feel sorry for all the other contestants!

 

Since when Minestrike held 60 people online dude, its more like cough cough 20 people. IF there is a Minestrike Competition, send me a email stating when its gonna be held and teams. Because if there is I would like to come back and participate in it. I might be rusty since I havne't played in so long. But if there is a ccompetition being held please send me a email stating so ok. Also I already have my team that would woop your ass at this hehe including me
