wild west release big failure?

    seems like a pretty good gamemode, its extremely awesome to play... but rip i gues

    any staff want to update on why its crashing? dont mean to pry or anything, just wanted to know if any progress is being made

    Maybe. It's the first day out of beta so I think it's a bug the devs haven't found/fixed yet.

    It just crashed again and it was only online this time for around 5 minutes.

    I just heard from Sig:

    The database is saying that some player names are returning null, but the console is saying all player names are valid so its crashing the server

    Yeah, I saw him say that too. I just hope that this gets fixed soon, otherwise the mode is going to have a very rocky start...

    Yeah, I've really enjoyed it so far. I haven't done illegal stuff yet, all I've done is mine some gems since I wanna save up for a pistol and shotgun.

    It's just out of CLOSED Beta. Doesn't mean it's fully functional. Keep in mind Beta is for seeking out bugs, don't expect Wild West to be perfect, they want to restart Wild West plenty of times to keep on updating it without any major bugs. We just have to be patient, expect there to be close to no restarts on full release.

    We ran into a few unforeseen issues that the beta simply couldn't uncover. A majority of these were just due to the immense amount of people that were logging on and pushing every single button the server had to offer.

    Here are the (descriptive /s) developer's changes since the release:
    We're working constantly to ensure that the crashes are resolved and if they happen, that the player data is as intact and saved as possible. Admittedly, open world servers are a pain in the ass to pull off and we aren't going to give up until Wild West is in a non-crashing state.

    We'll let everyone know when we're pretty confident that the server is steady and up. Apologies.

    All crashing related problems SHOULD be fixed. If you still are scared of losing items, I'd suggest not grinding out Wild West until probably later tonight (EST) or later tomorrow OR frequently reconnect so your player information is saved.

    Any bugs, glitches, crashes, you figure out should be immediately reported to chickenputty, Signatured, or myself.
