Shut Down HG

Think about it; if a server transfers, will 100% of the players follow? The reason the player count dropped hard is because people grow up. Playing a repetitive game over and over only has so many uses. People move on to find other fun things, either in a virtual world or in real life. Will we get rid of something that keeps players coming back to brawl? Absolutely no!

As for you saying there are very few players at a certain time, that most likely is because we have no Brazilian players/ very few eu players. This is because we have already lost this player count to other servers who were smarter than us and released faster than us. Does that keep us from trying? Of course no!

If I play WarZ, does that make me play Wild West? Sure, for a few days. That's how it was with HG. We had 50-150 players on the weekends, just like every other brawl server.

It's easy, people (Owners and admins) should sit down, have a cold mind thinking and see which server is making them lose money, and remove those servers. If none make them lose money, why would them delete it?

 

Most of them can be countered by showing people Brawl is compatible of manning HG. How? I think the best solution is to post a video on the MCPVP/Brawl channel. Some people are still subscribed to it, and if a video comes out advertising Brawl HG out of beta AND the tournament, people may come back. ADMINS, TAKE NOTE

 

The issue is that most EU players have fpund better servers they prefer to Brawl.

 

I totally agree! Brawl's YT-Channel has approximately 50k Subscribers and it would be a great idea to promote HG and future tournaments! Imo, if Brawl made a tournament with a 100$ Prize (Not for the Brawl Shop though, but e.g. an Amazon Giftcard) and promoted it on their channel, a lot of veterans, who have still subscribed, will give Brawl a second chance!

 

If there's a small business getting money slowly and surely, would you get rid of it and have no income? That's how it is here. We still care about player count. Shutting HG down would get rid of the ENTIRE HG player count. We'd lose even more revenue. We all earn money in different ways.

 

Lets be honest, I doubt that the owners care about players. At this point they care about the money, which is acquired by players, and for players you need to make sure they are having fun.
Hg still have some players, where those are a income, little, but still a income.

 

HG is still making money, so it wouldn't make sense to shut it down. It may have a small player count, but it still makes enough money to make it worth keeping around.

 

F*** the money. I still love HG an I will not stand idly by while you try to destroy it.

You're probably in a time zone with few other people. I know games are not filling up like they used to but most games in my timezone normally have about 30 players which is easily playable.

With all due respect, if you don't like it, you can f*** off and play survival games. But don't try to destroy the game that I and many others still love playing.

 

Ok guys. Let's all take a deep breath and talk about this like civilized people. It's true that hardcore games is not as played as it used to be. However, with the current downtime of skywars, brawl cannot afford for another server to be taken off. We all wanted to play that game that was based off the cool new movie!!! But now the buzz for that is dying off, yes.
However, I feel that with the tribute tournament, hg will once again be given the spotlight it deserves. After all, who doesn't wanna pretend to be katniss? ^-^ hardcore games is still our server and, believe it or not, most of the time it is our top priority to cater to the needs and wishes of the community.

I thought the debate would end earlier, but I guess I'll have to add my grain of salt to it.

First of all, your three "reasons" are actually all the same: not enough players. In a minecraft server gamemode, supporters are generally the same as players, so your second point is the same as the first. Your third does not make sense; you say there is a decrease in quality but your argument is not based at all on the game changes, fixes nor additions, but rather on the amount of youtubers playing and streaming the game, which is completely unrelated, if you think of it for a second. I feel like you're trying to say that the game is less enjoyable, but what would be again... because there are less players. You have been repeating yourself all over this time.

Secondly, we get it. There aren't enough players. All the updates were in the hope of increasing the player count. That said, by judging by how you defined the player counts, it looks like you only log on at 5 AM on weekdays. Come on weekends and you'll find enough players to start an actual game.

Thirdly, do you really expect us to just shut down a server, after months of work have JUST been poured into it? Without mentioning it JUST got out of beta. I can simply not see any logic in this reasoning.

Fourthly, you can't expect to say something like that and get no hate in return. You are insulting the community, whether it's on purpose or not.
