Improve render distance!

    I kwon that this render distance plug-in is helping keep lag to a minimum but it is really aggravating. Its so small you can't even so a whole rebel base from the inside, let alone a town. This makes playing, navigating & fighting extremely unenjoyable. if you cannot remove this feature as a whole can you please at least expand our render distances to at least 16 chunks. I believe this feature is a major deterrent to new players and makes the sever feel really cheap. PLEASE REMOVE THIS FEATURE AS I ANY MANY PLAYERS I KNOW REALLY DISLIKE IT (it doesn't help improve the games atmosphere in any way).

    P.S. its so bad that i accidentally started a fight with a team of 4 because i could only see one of them (not good feeling)

    You can improve your own render distance in your Minecraft options.

    No there is a plugin or something that is limiting it for all players to something like 8 chunks or less

    I believe there is because last night whilst traveling i was noticing an arrangements of dirt blocks in the air at the corner of the loaded chunks every time a new chunk loaded, as if some sort of plugin was being used to render the chunks only in a certain radios of the player.

    Are you sure you had your chunks high enough / have a computer that can handle it?

    Make sure you graphics settings aren't interfering with it (if you have optifine).

    This is what has been happening to the 3 people I have been playing with for the last 3 days and all of us have our render distance set to 32 chunks. People in the chat are reporting the same problem. I have dedicated 7gbs of ram to the game, and it runs fine like this on heavily modded packs. THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE SERVER. Unless 3 people from 2 difeent countries are experiencing this at random.

    Not using optifine, just plain old mc. No texture packs, all normal

    He's right, if you can look closely at the chunk border ( if thats what you call it ) you can see sometimes dirt blocks that moves once the next chunk loads. The chunk rendering is a server feature that helps reduce lag and since wild west is in beta, its completly understandable.

    We can actually increase the viewing distance now that we found the main source of the lag and resolved it.

    We can do this later today. Thanks for reminding us.

    Two genuinely clueless children. I'm sorry that your parents didn't buy you good computers. It is something server side and the fact that you're trying your absolute best to say otherwise is not only laughable, but proves that all players who go for JMOD are just trying to be something they're not. Look into something before you act like you know it. :asshat:
