Sheriff / Camping Abuse Ruins The Game

Lord i have seen sheriff armor on dead bodys before but once you picked it up and droped it you couldnt pick it up again and i did that with the armor i found on a dead body so i throw it on the ground

 

Diamond unenchanted is better then prot 2 iron armor.

 

I simply can't choose one of the three options in the poll, because corruption and unfair isn't the same thing.
Corrupt is epic, fun and cool: The highest bidder wins and that's fair to me XD

 

Disregarding the other replies, no one did anything wrong here. Did anyone hack? No. Did anyone glitch abuse? No. Did anyone break any rules? No. This is not a case of abuse. People camping in one area isn't banned, and it surely isn't a broken system. There is no system to start out with. People can go where ever they want, whenever they want, and for however long as they would like. The players at the Wild Grass base are just camping there. Why should this be called a "broken system" if no one has broken any rules or abused any glitches?

Everyone could have been the ones at the base. You could have if you were there at the time. Just because you died to a very skilled group of players after farming up illegal items, doesn't mean it's a broken system. When you go to a base, you should be weary of the very high danger there. It is a PvP zone, and as you said in your thread, a very highly trafficked area. There are almost always people there. And yes, it is part of the game. People camp, people kill. It is all a part of the game. It isn't "cutting others off," it's holding the base for themselves. If you had a strong enough team, you could have gone in there and killed them, effectively "cutting others off."

Also, why should it matter if Nezzr was camping there? Just because she is a Moderator, doesn't mean she can't play the game the way she would like. Really the only thing differentiating you from her is that she has a purple name and more permissions in game. She is a real person, playing the game for fun. Being a staff member just means you moderate the server. It doesn't cut you off from actually playing the game. Staff members are real people. They want to play the game to have fun.

Lastly, how is having a large team unfair? They are a large, highly skilled team. We're not going to disband the team because they're "too good." They're not ruining the game for others. They're controlling a popular location. This is not against the rules and is not wrong in any way.

Beyond that, IMP the issue is players, not the rules. The players who camp need to understand that they are making the game impossible for other players who joined late (because they didn't know it was released ). It isn't the staffs responsibility to make them give newer players a chance rather then "Kill anyone within 100 meters!!!", even if those players are not hostile (and in my case are willing to even give them a cut of the profit as payment for safety). The rules don't need to be changed, we just either have to find a way to get up there (which I kinda did yesterday by teaming with a V.I.P who was already rich) or hope that we get lucky and find one person that will allow us to do our runs so we can afford our own gear (one full inventory poppy is plenty for diamond and guns).

 

IMO camping sucks. Staying at rebel bases for extremely long time periods shouldn't be possible. My solution:
Add a back door to the bases.
Why?
It's much harder to camp 2 doors than 1.
Me and my friend can camp any base easy. That's wrong.

Every rebel camp has atleast 3 entrances and so does every buildings inside the rebel camp.

 

Really? I only saw 1 door to tobacco last I was there. I get that the cartels are open, but I haven't seen that from the bases.

 

You can get the Sheriff's head but nothing else.

 

Camping is allowed, but It takes no skill what so ever. If Mods/Players want to portray themselves as "eZ", thats just entertainment for others, not something to complain about.

 

I have found sheriffs armor on a dead body before it has protection 1 so i took it out and throw it on the ground because once sheriff gear hits the ground normal players cant pick them up but somehow you can pick up sheriffs armor because i have.

 

So as a criminal, one of your main objectives to to avoid sheriffs. If you can't do that, resort to the legal side! (we have pop tarts)

 

Let's be honest guys, wild west is extremely unfriendly to newbies. No one might have abused or hacked, but he actually does have a point. Remember the days when people were complaining about "20 man teams" on WarZ? Well, that's actually happening on wild west. I'm literally on a team currently with 20+ members. I think that there's even a team with 40+. I've sat at a processor with 4 or 5 full diamonds and one or two other team members just processing away. Now, that might actually be justified as a defense against sheriffs and other powerful teams, but at the same time, it makes it nearly impossible to earn money as an new player or one lacking a team.

 

I agree, but there's necessarily no way to know if there are more than 20 people online that are on a team. Half the time, the 40 man team only has 5-7 players on at a time.
